Hey guys!
My favorite lines tonight:
I didn't like the whole Lafayette/Jesus sequence...
Eric is too funny. "Love Hurts. Your lies, they cut me. Now your words don't mean a thing. I don't give a damn if you ever loved me..." -Cher, "Woman's World"

That Lafayette/Jesus dream sequence was disappointing because I'm getting tired of Alan Ball with these damn dreams. I was hoping it was a real scene. The dream only revealed what everyone's been speculating all along, especially heading into season 4. It did look pretty trippy though. I laughed when Jason kicked Bill out of the house. He redeemed himself a little after that...for killing Franklin. They said they were using real panthers for Crystal's crew. That panther looked pretty crappy, like bad CGI. I wanted to see more of Russell, but I guess they couldn't fit it all in one hour. That one scene was kinda corny. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Loved this episode!
Where to start????
With Eric....my boo....of course! HE IS SO AWESOME!!!!!!!
He wouldn't hurt/use Sookie.
I have to say though, my utter dislike of Anna Paquin is souring my @ the Eric/Sookie kissing scene.
Pam...she's awesome to...that's why she's Eric's j/k...I love her. I loved that part to O.G.
"blah, blah, blah..."
I'm loving Sam. OMG when he said to Holly, "You got anything for minding your own business and utter lack of boundaries?"
And Tommy! Little punk ass!! LOVED everything that happened with him. PUNK ASS turning into a pit bull because Hoyt DROPPED THE BOMB on you!!!!
The whole Hoyt/Jessica storyline tonight was FANTASTIC!!! Hoyt was THE MAN!!!
I liked the Lafayette/Jesus V scene, but no lying, that spinning shit made me nauseous! This and the Holly stuff are very much setting up LOVELY things for next season, which we'll have to wait 9 months to see I will not dwell!!!!
The Russell stuff was a bit of a let down. I REALLY wanted to see Nan's reaction to the spine ripping episode and I wanted to see a continuation of Russell's INSANITY.
I loved the Jason/Tara story. I'm so glad Jason just told her he killed Eggs. Harsh? Yes. Gonna cause 5,000 different kinds of shit? YEP! But it's out and it's done.
I loved Jason resinding Bill's invitation into his house. That was GREAT!!
The Hotshot stuff...it was good, but compared to everything else....meh. I really don't like what AB did to the Hotshot community. Yes, they are inbred but they had honor in the books, they weren't the meth making/pushing rotten fuckers AB has made them out to be.
Same with the Arlene/Terry storyline. I'm glad she told him, but meh.
I'm going to go watch it again!!! V"V

Sam looked terrible with that slicked back mafia hair. He also looks better with facial hair. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I feel bad for Sam. His dark past is eating him up alive. Hope he can make some amends in some way.

In the books, at what point do I get to Crystal & Hotshot? I agree about Russell....I'm ready for him to go on a warpath. The only downfall about Russell going crazy is the return of the Fellowship. They were so annoying. I hope Tara doesn't get caught up with them. Her hatred for vampires now is stronger than ever.
Hey, who's left in the werewolf pack Bill warned Jason about? Didn't they kill off most of them? lol looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

I'm not liking that they made Sam a murderer. Kind of disappointing.
I liked the episode but it seemed kind of like a filler. It bridged last week's great show with the final two episodes, which I imagine (hope) are going to be packed with surprises.
Alan Ball has hinted that someone may die in the finale. Maybe that's just hype. I hope so. I'm loving the cast they've got and want to keep seeing their storylines.

Besides just being crazy for plot sake, why hasn't Russel brought out a can of whoop ass on Eric already?? Ball did the same thing last season with dragging out the Mary Ann plot till the end, giving us too much filler for no reason. Ball should have had Eric kill Talbott tonight and not 2 episodes ago cause as much as the actor likes to chew the scenery Russel is boring me at the moment.
Oh and P.S. I think I stated on the first thread this season that I really didn't want to see Tara be nothing more than a basket case this season, well I didn't get that wish. I Miss Franklin more than her tired weepy ass. [Edited 8/23/10 1:15am] The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

True. It's a huge gaping plot hole that he hasn't just burst into Eric's bar and killed him. Although perhaps the scene where he saw all the soldiers from the Vampire Defense League in front of the bar makes him think that the VDL is always there protecting Eric, and that's why he hasn't gone back.
Totally agree about Tara.

I'll double check when I get home, but I think Hotshot/Crystal show up in book 8.
The "Lou Pines" bar was filled with Russell's werewolves, so I guess any of them could be sent after Sookie.
I don't want a lot of time devoted to them, but I love The Fellowship. They are so pissy and filled with self-righteousness. Tara may very well get involved with them. That might make for some funny and explosive moments considering Tara's attitude/temper. I'm firmly planted in denial

I didn't much care for the Jesus and Lafa's cheap ass effects acid trip either. So I take it next year we get to add witches to the mix. The Most Important Thing In Life Is Sincerity....Once You Can Fake That, You Can Fake Anything.

I miss him too I liked him with Tara though. Their scenes together were some of the best of the entire series so far. Why couldn't Tara just get Stockholm Syndrom. looking for you in the woods tonight Switch FC SW-2874-2863-4789 (Rum&Coke)

Since Tara and Lafayette's ancestors are witches/conjurers, I wonder if Tara's mother actually is possessed by a demon. Maybe even Lafayette's mother as well?

it would be nice to see if alfie woodard and anita pointer (tara's mom) had scenes 2gether discussing that very aspect u brung up man, he has such an amazing body of music that it's sad to see him constrict it down to the basics. he's too talented for the lineup he's doing. estelle 81

Things I learned from this episode:
Well thank goodness we finally know what the fuck Crystal is.
Damn, Russell really has gone
Did Franklin really rape Tara? I thought it wasn't after she had sex willingly with him that he started terroizing her. Maybe I missed a part of a certain episode or something.
How sexy (and evil) is that damn Eric!!!
I like the old Sam better than the new one.
Wasn't it cute how Jessica saved Hoyt? [Edited 8/25/10 5:50am] I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince.

Only the first time was consential. She did not want to be involved with him after that. She did not tell him her name or where she lived. He tracked her down and kidnapped her. From that point on it was rape. At points she acted like it was okay, but she was just trying to keep him from killing her. She tried to escape once, then finally did escape the second time.
Hoyt and Jessica were AWESOME in this episode! I'm firmly planted in denial
