Salt - ***SPOILERS*** No, really - ***SPOILERS***

Just saw it. Liked it. But there were two gaping plot twists, IMHO.

SPOILERS COMING.

To give you a chance to back off before reading the spoilers, enjoy this nice picture of Night Ranger who, by the way, are playing Moody Gardens in Galveston on September 4th.

So the two things I didn't get were:

1. Why did Salt become loyal to the USA? Was it because the Rooskies killed her parents? They never explained that; and

2. When the president wakes up, he's gonna finger Ted as the bad guy, which proves that Salt was the good guy. But for some reason - SEQUEL - no one ever thought of that.

Other than that, I liked "Salt" a lot.

1. I assumed that the love of her husband caused her to value life. She realized that there were things more important than the quest for Russian dominance over the world.

2. Good point. I found it odd that the spy killed everyone in the room but only knocked out the President. It seems like he would've been a prime target. Theoretically, the President will be able to set the record straight once he awakens and there shouldn't be any confusion about Salt's loyalty in the sequel. It'll be interesting to see how that's handled.

As much as I enjoyed this movie, and as much as a I love Angelina. I'd like her to sit back, relax and do a comedy film for ONCE instead of these banal action flick kick she's on.

No, I am not. I bet she loved them!

Night Ranger - taking over the world, one Orger at a time.

didn't the agent ask her that on the helicopter? and she said they took everything from me, so I guess I figured they killed her parents and took her and trained her and later turned her into the US Embassy. Plus they killed her husband.

I forgot that the Prez was still alive, I loved that she killed (whatshisname) her boss like that, that was awesome, but it make sense now since the agent released her. All I could see at the end of that was SALT II.

I loves me some Angelina!

We all should know that diversity makes for a rich tapestry, and we must understand that all the threads of the tapestry are equal in value no matter what their color.

You made a good point too. i think they tried to make her exact intentions ambiguous to keep you guessing throughout the whole movie. It worked, I wasn't quite sure who's side she was truly on until near the end.

And yeah, the way she killed that spy was kick ass! I honestly didn't think a woman could pull off a role like that but she definitely proved me wrong.
