Hate 24 Hour Fitness right now...

24 Hour Fitness wont refund the remainder of my 3 year universal membership even though there isnt a gym in Ann Arbor. Dont join 24 Fitness for a long term!

there seems to be a history of a few class action lawsuits against them too!

I could eat a dozen right now but I'm really trying to lose this weight sad

but I'll probably cave in and make some waffles, egg whites and bacon in 30 minutes (I deserve it dammit! lol )

You deserve it! nod

But you need the yolks, too, There's iron in them!

Embrace the fat, I say.

It's what you make it.

Word of advice. Never do contract memberships. Take advantage of

deals the Y may offer. You can always get out of your Y membership

or invest in at home equipment like i have.

NOW you tell me! lol

I just ate 2 waffles, bacon, and egg whites. I was told that eating egg whites was healthier

I'm trying to lose at least 20 pounds by September (I'm trying to lose around 30-35 overall)

Does it make any mention of the circumstances upon which you can cancel in the signing contract? I had issues with my gym too. They went out of business and sold their contract to "Caltas" Gym in Tampa. And even though there was one about 5 miles from me, had I taken a tour of the new gym, I would have never signed up for it. I wrote the President of Caltas (and the finance company that owned the contract) and threatened to sue unless they dropped the contract. I listed the reasons why I felt the practices were deceptive, and the fact that Caltas was NEVER a comparable gym to the original one that I had chosen. My circumstances may be different from yours, but it doesn't hurt to go straight to the top. My membership was cancelled in an effort to "maintain amicable customer/provider relations" or some bullshit like that. Got a letter directly from the President.

In reading the contract it does say that I can make claim to a refund to the Texas Secretary of State with letter.

I moved to Ann Arbor for the next three years because my girlfriend got a fellowship at the University as a sculptor.

Not to mention a lot of vitamin A.

How are you liking it there ? Does your girlfriend enjoy the University ~ we used to go to some of the Football games and there was this cool place that used to have floatation tanks ( in the early 80s )

After living in downtown Houston for the last ten years (the 4th largest populated city in the US, I think), I love the small town feel of Ann Arbor. Plus the people are friendly, I love a college atmosphere, and look forward to being holed up making music and movies in my upstairs studio this winter. We just had the best Thai food I have ever had at place called Thai Thai. Everything is 15 minutes or less away! It's great so far.

So far my girlfriend has not had to go into the university for much. She doesn't even have to teach a class until 6 months from now. She does need to be thinking about her next sculpture project and start to inhabit her University provided studio (which is next to a nature setting of a little creek with a running path all the way around it (more than a mile) including crossing over a picturesque dam! If anyone lives in Detroit, let's meet up!
