I can walk acrossed a balance beam like no ones business.

I've reached in darkness and come out with treasure
I layed down with love and I woke up with lies
Whats it all worth only the heart can measure
It's not whats in the mirror but what's left inside

I used to compete when I was a kid, from like 9-12 years old

I was in class 4 & class 3 (if that makes sense) and I quit when I broke my ankle for the second time dismounting the high bar--the same exact situation both times.

I was never very good, though I won some ribbons & medals, but the younger brother of one of the guys I competed with actually made the olympic team

really? class 4 was the first I ever heard of, maybe the really little kids have lower levels, I don't remember any of them at the competitions now that I think of it hmmm or maybe it has changed over the years (I did in the early 80's) or like you say it's a boy/girl thing, who knows?

this is me!

i stopped when i was 14 or 15 at level 7

i just know girls gymnastics stops level 10 then you become an elite gymnast thats when u start training for the Olympics

you start competing in junior Olympics around level 3 and those are like lilttle kids so .. shrug

oh, so you go forward in levels for girls? I can't keep track, they even eliminated the perfect 10 in competition, I feel so outdated!
