Internet Bullies

hey. you out there.

you know who you are.

you're the person who disapproves of my opinion, because it is not the same as your opinion.

you're the bully on the playground who wishes to be able to tell me what i can and cannot say here. (who would have guessed that you would be such a petty little bitch?)

please. i will post my opinions here without fear and you cannot stop me.

you don't like the fact i do not share your tastes and preferences?

that i passed over something you love in favor of something more to my taste?

i will do what i please. you are not the king of the world, despite your obvious delusions in this regard.

bring it, you bully little retard

thank you. that is all

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

The internet lets geeks pretend they're real men. It's easy to act all rough from behind one's keyboard. Talk that smack out in the street and see what happens.

I made a poor judgement once.

This poor unfortunate soul from another board(who's talented at tracking down personal information) thought he could scare me when he PMed me my info and said that he'll come to my house and "kick my ass" when I exposed him in an internet dispute.

He never saw my picture(but I saw his, in his avatar), and I recognised him as a record store clerk in The Bronx.

I printed his PM and went there after a personal errand. I put the printed page on the table and let him read it, after that he stared dead at me in the eye without so much of a BREATH, cold as a fridge lol I told his ass to own up to his words right now since there are no customers around, but all I got was a couple of pitiful blinks and I swear had I raised my hand, he would've died from a heart attack.

Needless to say, I haven't done or said anything to him, I just left. Looking back, I realize that its a foolish thing and I regret doing it. But when he tracked down my personal information(phone, address and the whole works) it was WAR! I'm a mother, I'm never reactive when it comes to my family's well being, I'm always proactive. And he made a habit of tracking down personal infos of other posters and PMing it to them, some stop posting, others continue posting but won't contradict his opinions no matter how OFF THE WALL they were.

The moral of the story is, those people are not bullies, they were the bullied ones in real life and this keyboard is the only thing they're capable of venting their frustration through, because when you do FINALLY meet them, you'll find that timid ass mice are blessed with louder personalities.

He never bothered me after that.

There're TONS of them here in orgville lol it ain't hard to spot any of them. But have no fear, they're the personified versions of James Brown's "Talking loud and saying nothing".

I don't think that person is necessarily advocating violence. They're just saying people act differently on the internet because of the disconnect

I think the internet is kind of like driving a car. People feel protected and isolated, and they feel a little more bold to act in ways they would not act if they were face to face with someobody.

And it's plenty of that shit here and on sports forums. It's probably actually worse

on sports forums. People getting all bent out of shape because you hate a particular

team or player. And if you go to the music forum here, damn people will have an

aneurysm if you have an opinion of an artist different from theirs. And you have a

select few that will go out of their way to respond to every post and start name calling.

In the Real World you wouldn't dare go into a sports bar and disrespect a man you don't know like you would on the internet because he roots for a team different from yours.

I agree, also with what uPtownNY said. All I'm saying is the ones behind the keyboard are probably different from the ones taking it out on the street. But either way of outing ones anger comes from pure frustration, and is equally pathetic.

On the other hand, there have been orgers who I thought were completely obnoxious that either I learned to like, or learned how to be more friendly.

Either way it has happened repeatedly.

true, though what I really meant was certain people seem to always have time to tell you you are an idiot, and explain how you are categorically wrong, not just of a differing opinion...and it doesn't matter where you are, they are there too!

I agree. I tend to be fairly outspoken no matter where I am. If someone doesn't like or appreciate it, it gives them no right to threaten anything toward me.

And it's plenty of that shit here and on sports forums. It's probably actually worse

on sports forums. People getting all bent out of shape because you hate a particular

No, it's worse on sites like YouTube. Mfers say all kinds of ugly, racist/sexist/anti-gay shit, especially if you like rap/hip-hop. But you know they wouldn't go up to a brotha's face and run their mouths. Suckers act differently when they have to suffer the consequences for their words.
