TV star Gary Coleman in critical condition
Posted 6m ago | Comment | Recommend E-mail | Save | Print |

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A Utah hospital says former child television star Gary Coleman is in critical condition.
A Utah Valley Regional Medical Center spokeswoman says Coleman was admitted to the Provo facility on Wednesday but she couldn't release any other details.

Coleman lives in Santaquin, which is 55 miles south of Salt Lake City.

The 42-year-old actor is best known for his stint on TV's Diff'rent Strokes, which aired from 1978 to 1986.

In February, Coleman suffered a seizure on the set of The Insider.

A telephone message left for Coleman's Utah attorney was not immediately returned Thursday.

I admit, I feel bad for him. He hasn't always been the most "agreeable" person but he's had a lot to deal with.

sad Poor Little Guy, they won't have Gary to kick around much longer. I've said it before in these forums, people have picked on him most his life, but they'll be sad when he's gone.

Apparently he suffered a head injury during a fall at his home.
I certainly pray for the best for Gary.

Gary Coleman on Life Support with Brain Hemorrhage sad

May 28, 2010

Gary Coleman has suffered a brain hemorrhage and his condition has progressively worsened, says his manager.

The 42-year-old Diff'rent Strokes star is now unconscious and on life support. His wife is at his side in the hospital.

The actor hurt his head Wednesday when he fell in his Utah home, and was taken to a local hospital. He was then transferred to the intensive care unit at Utah Valley Regional Medical Center.

"He's unconscious and on life support at the moment," his manager John Alcantar reports. "He had a brain hemorrhage and he was lucid but he went unconscious [Thursday] afternoon."

'Diff'rent Strokes' star Coleman's family says he's on life support, unconscious

at 12:02 on May 28, 2010, EDT.
By The Associated Press

SALT LAKE CITY - The family of former child television star Gary Coleman says he is on life support and unconscious after suffering an intracranial hemorrhage at his home.

Coleman suffered the hemorrhage Wednesday evening at his Santaquin home, 88 kilometres south of Salt Lake City.

Utah Valley Regional Medical Center on Friday released the statement on behalf of Coleman's family. It says Coleman's condition worsened on Thursday and he slipped into unconsciousness.

The statement says the 42-year-old actor has not had any surgery because of his condition.

Coleman has lived in Utah since 2005. He's best known for his stint on TV's "Diff'rent Strokes," which aired from 1978 to 1986.
