Do you like to gamble? casino/ lotto anyone?

I dont know about you all and I know in some states they dont allow casinos or lotto but if you have it where you live do you enjoy the experience of gambling?
every now and again I love a weekend night at our local casino! I love to play roulette and slots (I don't ever go with the expectations to win money)which is a good thing and I never bring more than I can afford to loose... If I win that's just a nice bonus however I love the time that's occupied... I have yet to be fortunate enough to go to Vegas but would love to someday just to see the ooo and ahh of all those huge and different casinos just the decorating awww's me!!

So my question to you is do you like to play lotto or gamble at the casino?
If so what do you like to play?
Is it something you do often?
Do you do it just for entertainment or do you do it as an everyday affair?
(I know some people consider themselves professional gamblers) thats how they make there living sometimes?

p.s lol I thought that picture was hilarious!!

Sometimes play the lottery ticket (depends on amount in the pot).

I've played the slots in Las Vegas cool
I don't like the computerized slots. I like to crank that lever.

I like playing Hold 'Em and Blackjack occasionally. I don't know if I've ever bought a lottery ticket.

A little low-stakes casino gambling can be fun every once in a blue moon. The trick is to set your bankroll ahead of time, consider it the price of entertainment, and quit once it's gone. No going to the ATM for more.

And if you get a big win (e.g., the time I got $400 from a slot machine), scoop up your winnings and run.

For the most part, though, I don't gamble because I know the odds are against me.

If the lottery jackpot gets super-high (we're talking over $100 million), I might buy one ticket, just for fun, and consider it a donation to the State of Indiana:

I like slot machines, I set myself rules and walk with a big ass win (Like a $100 or more) and walk out too when I run out of my play money.

Heres a long ass description of slot machine gambling in NZ. We call them pokies here like in Australia.
Here in New Zealand, we only have 3 casinos and they are all sleazy, full of drug addicts, prostitutes and petty criminals along with some of the roughest characters you will ever meet. But we have lots of bars with gaming rooms (restricted to 18 or less machines), other regulations include $500 win max on machines and $1000 jackpot max, max bet per spin no more than $2.50 and machines won't accept notes over $20. Theres problem gambling booths set up in the rooms and staff video tape gamblers and even intervene if they see addiqtive behaviour. You can only play one machine at a time and begging is not allowed. However these rules are seldom enforced, and there are too many bars in ghetto areas and ghetto ass people playing them (In New Zealand a ghetto is a poor suburb full of state housing, mostly Maori and Pacific Island people with low education, high crime and bad health stats). I myself will only play in approved areas, park my car near (And legally) and during the daytime. I set myself a limit (anywhere from $40 to $100), and when its gone so am I. The money is always left over disposable income, no bill money or money I need is used, I am on a good salary so can afford it. Remember too that our dollar is only worth 70 cents US. The machines are usually 1 or 2 cent ones (Bigger ones are banned) they take 2 dollar coins, $5,$10 and $20 notes, payouts are in $2 coins and amounts over $200 have to be hand paid by attendant. They are mostly Australian Aristocrats and another group called Star Games (Have you heard of them in the States). After 20 minutes an anti gambling message pops up and is displayed for 30 seconds.

Sorry for the long explanation, but I am curious how this is managed in other countries. The other day I won a $800 jackpot and accumulated $530 through several features, it was my best day, I walked in with $100 and walked out with $1350, its sitting on my credit card now.
So what are u going 2 do? R u just gonna sit there and watch? I'm not gonna stop until the war is over. Its gonna take a long time

I may buy the occasional lotto ticket, but I hate losing money too so I'm not a big gambler. But what I don't get, is that gambling is supposedly "illegal" here, but we have the lotto, race tracks, and bingo parlors, but cant have casinos. WTF?? Makes NO sense to me. confused

Love Vegas.

It is the only form of vacation I can take and come home with more money than when I left.

When I lived in Cali I'd go 5 to 8 times a year. Now I only go 1 or 2 times a year.

Don't "do Vegas" at all. As a matter-of-fact, I hated it when I was there. I was staying at the Riviera, which in my estimation was a dive. It was at a time when I was trying to quit smoking. Bad place to be in that regard. Every time I had to walk through the casino, I would damn near gag!

The slot machines were too confusing for me. I liked the old-time "one arm bandits" from back in the day, but I've never gotten in to poker...too complicated for me. confused

Oh, but I do play "Mega Millions" through a subscription. I hope my living right will benefit me one day... sigh

Then I started getting postcards offering me a free hotel room, so I could return and give them back my winnings. No thanks.

my auntie and uncle used to have an old one armed bandit in their basement, I used to play it and no matter how long I was at it, I could never get all the money to stay in it - the win/lose ratio was all wrong, which is probably why they had it and not some gambling venue!
