not to turn this into an appreciation thread for All About Eve, which could easily be done, but yes that movie is full of great lines spoken by great actors. George Sanders was the shit. I think I either read or heard that he killed himself after becoming bored with life and the lack of decent film roles.

I know Ms.Davis loves to brag about the work she did with William Wyler, nothing against those movies she did with him,,,,but Joseph Mankiewicz reeeaally let her roll up her sleeves and show off her muscles.

But like Trina said, the REAL star was the "script" and Ms.Margo Channing was def the perfect vehicle.

What I appreciatte mostly about the movie is, I always discover something new everytime I watch. Subtlety is such a lost art nowadays.
