They haven't gone to OTA's yet and the steelers offseason has
been one of discontent. Holmes has quickly stated that he's innocent
and his attorney will handle it. Right now i believe his situation
is a lot less complicated than Big Ben's.

ESPN reports that the Raiders have emerged as the leading
candidate for the services of Donovan McNabb. The Eagles are seeking
a top 42 pick and the Raiders 2nd round pick is 39.

Who likes the new NFL draft format? I'm not feeling it.
I liked it on Saturdays as it was. It gave you something to
get up and look forward to. Occasionally one of my friends
would have a draft party and cookout and have a couple of beers.
Is it really necessary to split it up over 3 days instead of 2
like it was? It's gonna be hard getting used to one round on
a Thursday night.

Danny-Boy Snyder playing fantasy football again. When will he learn that doesn't work in the real NFL?

I think it's just speculation. If the Redskins had been paying
attention to the Eagles soap opera with Donovan and T.O and
knowing Shanahan is a no nonsense coach,i'm certain they will
pass.

As a big time 49er fan I really like this move.

5th round pick for Ginn, JR (former 1st round pick) and we shore up one of the weakest parts of our game....the return game. Plus he can help stretch the field in the passing game.

We still have two first round draft picks (13th and 17th) to shore up the O-line and an early 2nd round for a Safety or CB.

But isn't he a good return guy? Last year the only thing the 49ers special teams were lacking was a return guy.

As a receiver he can help stretch the field a bit but I see this move more for the return game. Plus they only gave up a 5th round pick for him.

The steelers need to upgrade their OL,DB,and ILB(replacement for aging
James Farrior)
Of course i'm talking about the draft. The steelers are never big
players in free agency. They usually are very vanilla during this
period signing mid level talent like a Ryan Clark or Mewelde Moore.
If one of the top tackles don't fall to the steelers in the draft
i hope they take that mean nasty guard out of Idaho Mike Iupati.

Steelers need to let Willie Colon go already

Oh yeah - he had two return TDs in one game against the Jets. But as a reliable receiver, dude needs work.

That was two 100 yd returns in one game! We have Vernon Davis and Michael Crabtree as our main recievers. Ginn should help a lot in the return game.

If we have to rely on him for anything as a receiver besides an occasional 3rd or 4th option, then we are in trouble. But that is not why we picked him up.

Dude has amazing speed - he gets behind the DB, and it's a quick six. But I wouldn't go to him on a crucial 3rd down. Let's see if the Niner staff can coach him up and improve his skills.

Saw this on ESPN earlier. Jets are stockpiling talent although
Jason is past his prime. Let's see if it translate into wins.

Ready for the NFL draft. It will be interesting to see
if the Rams shock everyone and take Suh. I would and try
to deal up and take Clausen or wait for McCoy
to fall. The Rams are going to suck either way next year.
You might as well get your game changer on defense.
Whoever is under center will be doing a lot of handing off
to Steven Jackson anyway.
