I can't speak from experience but...

Take a needle in the sac, have it sliced open with a scalpel, have a scissors cut two tubes in your sac, have those cuts cauterized with a burning iron and get sewn back together with a needle and thread.

Sounds like a typical Thursday for me.
Studies have shown the ass crack of the average Prince fan to be abnormally large. This explains the ease and frequency of their panties bunching up in it.

Didn't hurt for me, but I've heard stories, but you always do, don't you. biggrin

Your reasons are the similar to mine, 27 months pregnant, two bad labours and a section versus 20mins on the op table and a couple of days off work. Not an easy one to argue your way out of.... confused

Do it, it's not a big deal. nod smile

It's a weird procedure in that you can feel the tugging and obviously you are awake so you can hear things...the needle to the sac was all that hurt at first.... it is a strange sensation once everything is done...I thought I could feel the disconnection in there when I would walk around at first...some swelling and discomfort to follow...but it is the right thing to do given the other options...glad I did it...my wife...soon to be ex-wife...was and is an ungrateful bitch and pretty much didn't have any sympathy for my pain...hopefully the aftermath will be better for you than it it is for me...it has been almost 10 years since my procedure....no problems with it...everything feels the same afterwards...Sunkist..all the juice and none of the seeds lol

Good luck....

My Dad had one then got stuck in traffic on the way home from the hospital (he was driving) and said the pain killers wore off and it was agony.

The pain of a vasectomy is SO much less painful, and the procedure is much less invasive, than a woman having her tubes tied. Your recovery will be DAYS compared to her WEEKS.

Sure it'll hurt a bit, but it's minimal. A friend of mine who got one about 10 years ago said he just felt like he'd been kicked in the balls for a few days.

Oh Lord, I'm hurting just thinking about this thread. Why have the procedure done? Just pull out when you get ready to come.

I'm gay and give and receive oral only so I wouldn't know. lol I personally pretty much know when I'm getting ready to come though.

But I think I would wear a condom before I would go through a painful procedure though. I can't stand any type of pain whatsoever. That's why I don't do anal. lol

It's not as bad as men think, although someone cutting your scrotum isn't a great thing. But as far as I remember, they make only one incision, and do the work from there. They're just snipping one vein or something, so it's SO much more minimal than a woman being invasive surgery. They can suffer problems from it for long after, but it varies from none to a lot.

We do them daily at the office I work at, and the guys are always fine during and afterwards. Its a fairly quick simple procedure. I wouldnt hesitate!

Can I just commend you for taking the birth control aspect on yourself? I think it's a really, really awesome thing you're doing for you and your wife.

Lord knows no one loves condoms and the pill wreaks freaking havoc on women hormonally. It just makes so much sense for a man to do so and to step up willingly is just awesome.

I was considering it after our third kid...but then my wife had to have surgery (a hernia repair that included a partial hysterectomy) and that was THAT.

I was going to have one after my son was born because 2 kids was all we wanted. The doctor asked "Would you have more children if you came into alot of money or won the lottery". I said we might and he advised against having one. Once my son got older and I no longer wanted to have children even if I became rich (which hasn't yet happened), I scheduled it and had it done. The worst part is the smell when they cauterize your vas deferens! That's a smell I will never forget.
