Why? It's certainly a reasonable thing to do.

I disagree.
Peyton certainly didn't seem to agree with throwing away a perfect season.

You don't have to agree with the decision. It's still a reasonable one. This isn't the BCS vs. playoffs; both decisions make a certain amount of sense.

I disagree because having that perfect season doesn't come around that often.
It's a goal worth pursuing in my opinion.
Although I think Indy will win the SuperBowl, it would be nice to have the perfect season to go with it. They may never get as close again.
I don't want you to think like me. I just want you to think.

But if they were interested in a perfect season, they would've been playing Mathis and Freeney the last couple of weeks. Where was the outrage then? I don't think they had much of a shot at beating the desperate Jets without those two (even with Manning).

Ah, but they were winning without them.
No outrage here . . . Not a Colts fan.
I just think they passed on an opportunity that none of them can guarantee or believe they will see again.
They'll get to the SuperBowl before they get the opportunity to go undefeated again after this season.

They've only been sitting Mathis and Freeney since they wrapped up home-field advantage. The Jets are probably the best team they've played since then. Anyway, I just don't think an undefeated season is that big of a deal. For all the talk about the '72 Dolphins, does anyone actually think they're the best team of all time? All I know is the same people complaining about Manning being pulled would've been blasting Caldwell if he'd gotten hurt in a "meaningless" game.

Best of Luck to my Steelers, I hope you make it!! I love the end of the season, with all the playoff scenarios! The Steelers can get in if they win, the Jets lose, a red light turns red on the SF Bay Bridge, and an elephant farts at 1:20pm at the DC Zoo on 12/30. lol I hope everyone loses that the Steelers need to lose, plus we need to win one, again. evillol This should be an interesting weekend. Congrats to those on the top of the picks, I really fell of the last month or so! I am in sole possesion of 7TH place, woohoo! Always fun to pick, as always KUDOS to lilgish. I love making these picks, even if I suck at it!! Go STEELERS!!!!! lol eek mad

P.S. the colts losing is a conspiracy against the Steelers making it into the playoffs, the colts said, who would you rather see in the playoffs, the Jets, who we can beat for sure, or the Steelers? LMAO J/K guys! lol

What sucks for them is that Painter is actually their 3rd-string QB. I believe Sorgi was placed on IR. He's a preseason superstar (just like Aaron Rodgers used to be).
