Today my husband met me and my son in the middle of the shopping centre, and said we had to finish our shopping soon, as he'd just purchased some icecream and it was in the car. (we had been xmas shopping-while hubby grabbed a few supplies from the supermarket)

When we got home, my husband unpacked the bags, pulled out a pkt of icecreams and said, do you like these?

They were eskimo pies!!!!
My face just dropped....eek faint

Today would have been my dads 62th birthday, he passed away in 2006 from secondary bone cancer pray
anywhoo, when i was a kid, we'd often be sent to the shop to purchase items, and dad always asked for an eskimo pie.

i have never, in 18 years seen my husband eat one, and they were full price, we NEVER buy icecream if its not on special.

Coincidence, or Dad trying to tell me something?

Happy birthday dad cake beer rose

Nice story. My Dad's birthday is December 19, too. He died in 2001 from lung cancer. I know you cherish your memories as I do. Bless you. touched

It's not your dad.

There's a theory I call "The Universe Winking At You". It's nothing mystical or physic or whatever. It's when that sort of thing happens. It's a bit more than a coincidence, but a bit less than a "message from beyond". It's one of those little things, where maybe you have a "full circle" moment. It's a small way of something out there letting you know that, in this world of billions of folks, you aren't lost in the mix.

Just smile, and enjoy the moment.

What really kills me about this is that mdiver got that line from a thread I posted on.

Some arrogant fucker newbie started a thread saying 'hello, I'm perfect. Ask me a question and Imma school yo ass with my knowledge" or some ridiculous shit like that.

So I posted "fuck you"

It seemed to be a hit with a few folks. Mdiver took it and turned it against me. Now, I'm the guy they say 'fuck you' to. neutral neutral neutral

And the irony is that for a while we used to say 'fuck you' to newbies who started threads. It was part of the humor. Much like we say 'idiot!" to our friends. But mods have been snipping them as 'flames' now due to a lack of understanding the context. So now I get the told 'fuck you' which I find humerous, but I can't tell anyone fuck you either.

Watch this: Hey, zaza: Fuck you! (This shit is gonna get snipped yall. Somebody mark the time.)
