The funny thing is they were patrolling and stopped to escalate a group of people who were intoxicated. I'm not sure if the officers a) had anything "better" to do, or they would have not wasted their time on this group at all b) needed to escalate a non-situation by stopping in the first place c) need react this way when dealing with drunks d) should start running at someone with mace and a baton when their power is questioned - a very human reaction but a grave error imho e) they bothered to say "you're under arrest", like, ever. | |

BUT, AT THE SAME TIME, it seems like officers of the peace gotta have better ways of dealing with drunk people using transit late at night. like, i'm pretty sure that's why they are staffed. i'm on the side of the rappers...i'm just saying, i view AB as a pretty conservative, rednecky place (tho i don't know Calgary too much), so i would expect them to side with the police. it certainly isn't like many places in BC.
