Here's some crush music for grown folks; this chick is a killer pianist and live, as a jazz vocalist, she is on fire. Here the group keeps it subdued though...defintely a good crush song, but underneath all this organic downtempo jazz groove she does sound a little nutty inside these lyrics lol

I can see your shadow every night
From the lights of your window
Reflecting on the pavement outside my door

I know when you're crying
I know when you smile
I know when you're sleeping after a while

I know what your movements are
I see when you dance
And I'm a big jealous when you have a romance

Shadow, shadow
Shadow, shadow, shadow

For me you're a shadow
Or maybe a dream
I know that reality is not what it seems

I sit in my window
With a glass of wine
I know that forever you won't be mine

Shadow, shadow
Shadow, shadow, shadow

I can see your shadow every night
From the lights of your window
Reflecting on the pavement outside my door
My door

Enjoy martini

I always assummed a crush itself could be either or, you know, that a crushee may or may not know you have a crush on them hmmm

Anyhoo, I always thought that this was a cute little song about crushes, it's from '86...good Lord what God awful clothes we used to wear back then lol

I won that album at a high school dance. lol

They are from Minneapolis. geek

Oh Lawred, did you succumb to all those 80's fashions then, too? I shudder to think of the color combinations I wore back then lol

In high school I was such a clone. Le Tigre shirts, Lee jeans and British Knights shoes with the velcro strap--just like what all the other guys wore. disbelief

They were from a suburb, even. lol They were all in the same family and had other siblings who weren't in the group that went to a neighboring school of mine. One of the girls who was around my age was considered the black sheep, or so I heard. I didn't know her.

Did you also rock Lagerfeld cologne in the green bottle, or was that a regional thing from the boys around my neck of the woods? lol lol lol . Actually, I remember what perfume/cologne you wore was a pick part of crush developement back then nod. I wonder what colognes we all used to wear when we were young vs. the scents we wear now when trying to snare ourselves some newfangled luv lol

and a "crush" means one-sided - the crushee doesn't feel the same way back?
what if 2 people have a crush on each other, what is THAT called? lol

What if two people have a crush on each other and no one other than them knows? Can that be a secret crush? batting eyes

this is what I was getting at!!!! I'd accept that definition also lol

I didn't know anything about cologne in high school. I was a dork. It wasn't until senior year in college that I "came out" and started dressing like an art student.

I dressed that way well into the 90s until I realized I looked like a clown. I was clashing colors and patterns all the time until... boxed I still try to dress that way...leggings, socks over tights, shirts hanging out from under sweaters...I can't help it. boxed

I remember certain horrible things I never want to see again

in my country town, girls wore stirrup pants with big socks and adidas romes, that was THE casual look, worn with a big baggy top and a perm.
