OMG - I once walked into a Wal-Mart in Florida (about 8 years ago) and saw a trailer-trash transvestite.

He was wearing Wal-Mart women's clothing (had to be it was so atrocious) and had a huge GUT spilling out over his polyester capris!

disbelief ...wish I'd had a camera!

Home of the LV knock-offs.
85% (easily) of the people wearin knock-off LV do-rags/scarves and purse combo complimenting a lovely worn-down busted velour ensemble with dirty flip flops have been at the Walmarks.

Thank goodness I only go there if absolutely necessary anymore.

What is the joy in tearing the people who visit Walmart down? Perhaps some people can't afford to shop elsewhere?

Back when I worked in a convenience store, a guy came in and bought a pack of Magnums. I asked him if he wanted some rubber bands to hold it on. lol

I have no problem with Walmart shoppers. I'll probably be in there myself this evening to pick up some underwear and socks. lol

It's Walmart itself that I can't stand. They bring in their giant store with everything under one roof, including groceries, and since they own so many stores, they can buy their merchandise in huge bulks and sell it at a lower price than everyone else. This usually runs a lot of the local independent store owners, who have a better variety, out of business.

If those independent store owners lose their businesses, chances are they didn't have better variety. If they did, people would still shop there. shrug

For a while i did some grocery shopping there cause I thought it was cheaper (all them bad ass kids everywhere!!!).

Then I started using coupons....then I started doubling coupons. They don't double coupons. Fuck em. I go to another grocery store and come out $50 less than that hell hole every time.

It is always a very stressful place to me. I wonder if I pick up on the mood of the patrons. Being broke is stressful. I'm pinching pennies like the next man, but put forth some fucking effort and clip coupons n plan (ok random thought, really) That place cant do nuttin for me now.

I went regularly years ago but haven't been in a long time. I got that feeling too - just automatically stressed the fuck OUT when I'd be in there confused I always chalked it up to the screaming kids & long lines, but it very well could be people's energies bouncing off each other & fucking everyone up lol

I took an art class on modern art that basically was about art in marketing and the style of packaging of products. We went to the stores like Walmart and Target. One thing we noticed between the two is the layout and lighting.

The layout is very different. Target's new branding M.O. has been to offer "designer" products at a discount store. Making customers feel a little "classier" for shopping there. It has worked. Their market share has increased tremendously.

A person doesn't have to buy expensive clothes to look elegant, groomed and well put together.

A person can shop at Walmart and look fine. I don't think this has anything to do with Walmart prices or what someone can afford and all to do with crazy trashy folk who just happen to shop at Walmart.
