Right now i should be putting together the agenda and minutes for my PTO meeting tonight I am the secretary and that is my job.. What was I thinking when I volunteered? There are over 1400 kids at this school and we are lucky if we get 20 parents at the meetings. Given that it's a charter school and all the parents had to apply to get their kid in you'd think there would be a better turn out. You'd also think that I would see that just showing up was pretty good. I felt bad though that no one wanted to be a secretary. The President Possition usually has 2 candidates but no one seems to want anything less than that. I honestly think the president possition goes over well because it looks good on a resume.


Anyway the PTA's and PTO's have a bad rep and they have the image of a van, you know a mama vehicle. They are the furthest from cool. I love calming down on this thread. It's like the more stupid shit I write here the more I can focus on what I really need to be doing. Lets see if I actually do it. Is there any other decent threads out there? Since finding this one I have not entered as many "one page maximum" threads lately and I like it that way!!!!!
