On the lower ends some of the Paul Newman sauces are good. Newman's Own Sockarooni Sauce is my fave.

The higher end I like the Napa Valley Pasta Sauces.

Most jar sauces and any other readymade sauces taste too bland for my spoiled taste buds and are an insult to my palate. I only eat them when I´m really in a rush or out of sheer curiousity but I often end up disappointed.

When it comes to pasta, there is no alternative than eiter selfmade pasta sauce or maybe the varieties you get at a good restaurant but even those leave me disillusioned sometimes. The only sauce I buy is pesto because sometimes I just can´t be bothered or because it is not that easy to find flavorful basil in the winter.Other than that, I always make my own pasta sauces and it usually doesn´t take that long to fix some pasta sauce.
My best sauces aren´t even real sauces per se. I rather add the pasta with a little bit of pasta water to the frying pan where I´ve already prepared most of the sauce stuff and then I add some freshly chopped herbs and extra olive oil.

I´d love to cook for certain orgers but you´re all so far away. lol

There's a difference between us and the other Croatians and between Istria and rest of the country.
But, yeah, let's say I am wink

I do a homemade spaghetti sauce that I love and it's pretty popular with my friends.

I also love elfredo with chicken and broccoli. Yum. And one of my go-to easy meals I make is just olive oil, garlic, and parmesan. Delicious.

Not many good jar sauces to choose from here unless you spent far too much for some of the fancier imported stuff. I tend to buy pesto and just add olives, ham, bacon or whatever I have in the fridge.

I've learnt that I actually prefer "red pesto" the most. It's not the real deal, but hey, it's pretty good.
