Not his first coaster ride ever, but the first for the Mamba at Worlds of Fun in KC. It was a roller coaster ride of emotions...Looks bad at first but ends up good and he rides again many more times.

I hate coasters.....i once rode the comet at crystal beach on a dare..its an old rickety wooden coaster overlooking the lake...

i worked at WOF when the Mamba opened!!! Oh memories. that was a great summer. The nite of the Employee Ride Party my mom had extended my curfew so I could spend the whole nite riding that over and over and over with a few hundred of my fellow coworkers. One of my cats had messed up my clock in my room a couple days before I didn't bother to change it back because I knew fast it was. Anyway had a blast that night with the cast members and the rest of the tech crew of the Stax of Wax. I got home and opened the door and in the complete darkness of the house I hear my mom's voice in that booming you know you are in deep shit voice..."Eric Christopher Hufford what time is it?" Totally thrown off cause I know I'm early I say "Mom's it's a quater til 2 you said i could stay out til 2 since the party lasted til 1." Her not being amused repeated the question. This went on for about 5 mins before it finally dawned on me.

"Mom what clock did you look at?"

"The one in your room of course when I went to check to see if you were home yet."

"Mom Snowball messed that up last week it's not the right time, look at the clock right in front of you." She had spent however long staring at the door and the clock.

"Oh well never mind and thanks for coming home early." Than off to her room she went.
