I remember the day Jaycee was taken

bawl

They just found her ALIVE. bawl all these years later.

I lived in Sacramento and it terrified me that a child had been taken less than 1 block from her home, while he father watched and then he pursued on a bike until he couldn't go anymore.

She was in Antioch...next door to my home town, being held hostage for years. makes me wonder about the rash of killings of children during that time frame in Antioch.

I am so so so happy she is alive. :bawl

the details that are coming out are not good. They are saying she's been a sex slave and had children with the maniac who kidnapped her. Worse, that the wife may have organized the kidnapping and may have abused the girl too. sick sick sick! Compared to this crap, why can't we have gay marriage?????

People complaining about gay marriage being the end of the world when this crap is being done by straight society. that's my point. Straight monsters are the blight of this nation, not 2 consenting adults who want to commit to each other.

She didn't contact the police...this all came out when the man who kidnapped her was interviewed by his parole officer.

This whole situation angers me...here is a man who has been convicted of many sex crimes etc...and they let his ass out on parole. WTF???

I just hope for this young lady and her two children they can find peace.

Makes sense since she is 29 now and one of her kids is 15.

This is why I'm a freak about watching my kids even though they are older (12, 13 and 16). Not to mention a little girl was kidnapped and killed in my town a few months ago and they never caught her killer.

This story totally disgusts me. The kidnapper fathered two children with the victim and the kids have never seen a doctor or school their entire lives.

I freak out over OTHER people's children. On my way to work I see tiny little kids going to school, BY THEMSELVES. In my time, maybe, but certainly not now.

YESSS! I see that all the time!! mad

My niece actually saw a little boy on a busy intersection, that looked scared beyond words. She stopped the car and asked him if he was alright, he said he had missed his school bus and was going to walk to school! She asked how old he was, he was 6! My niece called the police and asked what she should do, an officer showed up to get the child. Turns out he was just dropped off at the bus stop (late even) and Mom or dad left. omg Little boy was sitting there talking to my niece Ana, while the police came, he even took a juicy juice from her (Ana is a mom of a 4 yr old boy, juicy juice is standard in her purse) and he was so calm with her, no fear, no I am talking to a stranger fear, nothing. sad

OH MY!
that scares me that the child was so trusting. I am glad it was your niece he ran into instead of someone who meant him harm.

A friend of mine from childhood was abducted when she was seven years old. The man who abducted her did unspeakable things to her after she was taken. He drove my friend from state to state, probably in an attempt to avoid getting caught. This was before the time of Amber Alerts. In any event, this guy stopped at a gas station to fill up the tank and was pumping gas when a man at an adjacent pump saw my friend, who was sitting in the backseat. My friend mouthed the words "He is not my dad," and the other patron memorized the license plate of the car my friend was in, went into the gas station to call the police, and the man who took my friend was arrested. It's so wonderful that she was freed and that the man was caught, but my friend was, understandably so, never the same. A string of drugs and promiscuity followed.
"She made me glad to be a man"
