Has anyone tried FLOCK?

It's a web browser built on firefox

http://www.flock.com/

Apparently it got a 5 out of 5 on download.com and was ranked as the #6 product of 2008 by cnet.

I've been using it for a bit now and really like it. The interface can be a bit 'busy' as I prefer the chrome interface, but it pulls together all the social networking stuff (including tweets) into a convenient one-stop shop. Its able to pull feeds and allow you to easily search all of them.

And even though its built on Firefox code, it appears to be a bit more responsive.
I do hope they clean the interface up a bit though--it's too busy for my taste.

I tried it a couple of years ago when it was first released, but not for a while. I'm happy with Safari, but I've been trying the developer builds of Chrome as well.

I like Safari too though it seems that java applets run slow on it.
I read somewhere that java runs faster on it than firefox, but I've not seen this play out.

version 4 is über nice, but I still prefer google chrome's minimalist approach to the browser interface---is the mac version ready yet? lol

Well, I stay away from Java whenever possible. lol

You can download the developer builds here: http://www.google.com/chr...tml?dl=mac
