Is this true?

Ok say that you locked your keys in your car and you gave someone your other remote key. This person has went out of town for the weekend. Is it true that if you call this person on their cell phone on your cell phone and hold your phone up to a foot away from the car while they press the remote, that it'll open?

Fauxie	I saw this on some TV show, where if I recall correctly, they'd 'recorded' the key remote signals on something and tried it out, but they didn't work.
