Cut the leaf open and rub the inside of the plant on your skin. The relief is almost instantaneous even though you have to constantly reapply. Taking an aspirin helps too. The Aloe creams can help, but they're nothing compared to the plant itself. Then again, the last time I had a bad sunburn, any little thing helps.
