Morgan Freeman sleeping with his stepgranddaughter? http://latimesblogs.latim...hter-.html
Morgan Freeman, 72, and his wife of 25 years, Myrna Colley-Lee are in the middle of a bitter divorce. And reports are starting to emerge on the Web of an alleged decade-long affair with ... his step-granddaughter. E'Dena HInes is the granddaughter of Morgan's first wife, Jeanette Adair Bradshaw, but was raised by Morgan and Myrna. "Myrna said E'dena told her that when she was a teenager, she and Morgan went to dinner at a friend's house one evening. Both had been drinking and when they returned home Morgan attempted to have sex with her. They stopped just short of having intercourse," a close family insider told The Enquirer. Myrna confronted Morgan about the incident, but the undercover relationship continued and escalated. E'Dena has been Morgan's escort to several Hollywood events, including the premiere of “The Dark Knight.” Freeman's rep has no comment, e-mailing us: "No comment on anything in The Enquirer." "We may deify or demonize them but not ignore them. And we call them genius, because they are the people who change the world."

We don’t mourn artists because we knew them. We mourn them because they helped us know ourselves.

Myrna confronted Morgan about the incident, but the undercover relationship continued and escalated. 1. He helped raise her. 2. Both had been drinking (she was a teenager) 3. He tried, the source said, but "they stopped..." There's a shift there from initiator to participant 4. Confronted him about the incident (again he's the initiator), but the "undercover relationship continued and escalated (he's back to participant). The Enquirer seems to be hedging its bets in this story. Either way, this story suggests (at best) he's a statutory rapist of his stepgranddaughter. No, EZ Reader. No.

It's the ENQUIRER people. They've never ever printed something true. Come on, be smart and make sure it's confirmed before you go judging someone.

If this story was not true, I would have answered so to a bum on the street if I was asked.

Well sign me up, I'm a believer now since in all their time as a publication they've printed TWO true stories! Well, I'm certainly not vouching for the accuracy of their reporting. But consider this: Decades ago, it was far cheaper for the National Enquirer to settle lawsuits from celebrities who claimed the publication published false stories about them. But, I can see this being true: The publication has tons more competition (on various media) and likely makes sure it has its facts on celebrities, these days, before running outlandish stories about them.
