I swear to you, this is actually the next GTA game:

Actually a new "episode" for GTA IV, but we're nitpicking now. The important part is the title:

In contrast to Grand Theft Auto IV's seedy biker gang expansion The Lost and Damned, The Ballad of Gay Tony is said to focus on the glitzy "high-end night life" of Liberty City. The second Xbox 360 exclusive episode will put players in the role of Luis Lopez, confirming previous rumors, as his part-time hoodlum duties are supplemented by full-time work for nightclub impresario Tony "Gay Tony" Prince.

According to the official announcement, "players will struggle with the competing loyalties of family and friends, and with the uncertainty about who is real and who is fake in a world in which everyone has a price."

A-fuckin'-men, man. However, I think this is Sony's fault. Apparently, they didn't want to cough up extra $$$ for some Rockstar exclusivity...pricks.

The DLC's are so cool - new weapons are added, along with new songs/radio bits.

Why not put both episodes on a disc for PS3 owners?

we don't even need discs, we can download as well, which is why it is aggrivating me that they aren't doing it for ps3

and why not? IMO, it's not as great as San Andreas, but it's close. Rockstar did a great job capturing the "feel" of NYC.

I don't have a thing against gay people but this is NOT going to fair well with some gamers.

lol THIS would actually get me into GTA. My cousin on the other hand is going to scream like a girl.

Chillens shouldn't be playing an adult game.

Not as great as San Andreas? Really? I think it's leaps & bounds better than San Andreas - which I thought was the weakest of the series...

San Andreas has everything - great map, story, characters and the best soundtrack. There's so much to explore. With IV, there's not much to do once the main storyline is over(Rockstar went in a different direction and put more emphasis on multi-player). The only thing IV has over SA is improved graphics and physics. I had more fun with SA.

i totally disagree about SA being better.

these games are most definitely not for children, period. i would really caution any parent about letting your children play these games, as much as i love them

The multi-player aspect is probably what I like the best. I haven't even finished the game. Heck, until a couple of weeks ago when the Rockstar server was done, I hadn't played the proper game since last September.

Oh, and I think Vice City has the best soundtrack and storyline. It's a shame they don't revisit that game. I'd love to see it in HD.

Give VCS & LCS a shot. They're ports, but still fun. VCS has long, hard missions that'll make you pull your hair out.

I think the right's heads are going to explode. On the one hand you're adding gayness to the violence already in the game, on the other, it has violence against gays.

Of course that is only an assumption of the game's content, but assumptions are all anyone needs to demonize a game. They're easy targets.

there have always been gay characters in these games. 3 had tons of them wandering around, and 4 actually had a plotline and mission about a gay char.

obviously the portrayals are kinds stock cliche, but that's kind of true of damn near every character in these games.

Yea, but putting gay in the name sets off the radar for "activists". You had to actually PLAY the game to catch those elements until now.

eh... which kind of activists? as a gay activist, i find nothing wrong with the games, but i believe in equal opportunity offensiveness. there's such a thing as being too sensitive. (which oddly enough i get accused of often)

and anti-gay activists can lick my ass. smile

Of course, that's the whole point of the GTA series. All its characters are stereotypes and over the top. These morality police morons will never get it.

Oh yeah, GTA has become my favorite gaming franchise(ahead of Tekken, Mortal Kombat, Madden & NBA 2K). I love how you can just lose yourself in GTA - sometimes walking around and exploring shit is more fun than the missions. smile

i use cheat codes and go on rampages when i am having trouble beating a mission or bored of doing missions. i used to love to rock the hell out of the rocketlauncher in 3 in the spot just behind the police station where almost noone save the helicopters could get you.
