Don't be too hard on yourself if you slipped up and cheated for one or two. Just don't use it as an excuse to give up. Choose your cheats wisely. I cheat with a Jenny snack or with an extra fruit. That won't add on as many calories as a regular high fat or high sugar snack.
Dammit, I could have just quoted you & agreed! Well the truth is the truth! "It's hard 4 me 2 say what's right when all I want to do is wrong..."

Hang in there. After seeing my vacation pictures, I joined a gym and hired a personal trainer. I've lost 3 1/2 lbs and have small losses...mostly in my (@)(@) 's of course, but still a little progress is still progress. I go to the gym 4 days a week after work. 2 of those days are with my trainer. Food is my demon now. My determination is slipping when it comes to food, so I really understand how you feel. Again, hang in there!!! I'm firmly planted in denial

You're doing so great! I've been plateau-ing for the last few weeks, but I think I'm on track to lose about 2-2.5 pounds this week for me to FINALLY hit 20 pounds lost (in 12 weeks). My official weigh-in is Monday mornings so I won't know till tomorrow. |

I joined Jenny Craig two years ago today. I lost 80 lbs. so far. I have plateaued, but I have not gained anything back. I would love to lose 80 more. God, give me strength! "It's hard 4 me 2 say what's right when all I want to do is wrong..."

You've clearly got excuses... no more candy 4 u!! no excuse, i gotta get back on track... your right no more candy for me When you become punitive or white knuckle your weight loss, gaining or falling off track is inevitable. You are also trying to make your life liveable while losing so that you won't gain back. But when you say no this and never again, and so on, it creates a really unhealthy and vicious cycle. Once to maybe twice a week I enjoy my entire day and feel no guilt. My weight loss varies from one pound to two pounds per week. Live your life, you deserve it.

Today's weigh in....
nothing lost, nothing gained. Since I exercise sooo much they have increased my calorie intake. My counsler is thinking that may give me a kick start. Lots of exercise and not enough of the right foods, can mess you up...so im told! lost 2 more inches.... Say it's just a dream...

You're doing better than me this week - I thought I'd be down another 2 or 3 but I actually GAINED 2 back But I know I've been too lax this week. Good on workouts, too lenient on food. It's been a tough week @ work but that's no excuse, I gotta stay focused & keep progressing

When you exercise you build muscle which weighs more than fat. If you are losing inches and your clothes fit loosely, don't pay that much attention to the scale. "It's hard 4 me 2 say what's right when all I want to do is wrong..."

I ran extra long last night and didn't feel like heading back to the gym today (for the elliptical, no less) and I certainly didn't feel like cooking afterward to ensure that I not eat junk food. But I did all of the above. I gotta see that scale continue its leftward drift...

I'm gonna force myself to cook for the week & plan something lean for when I get off work. Without that planning I'll definitely have something stupid like chips or whatever. I let myself off the hook w/ the gym today only b/c I'm working all weekend & I'll be worn out enough. I just wanna get it "right" this week

Ex-Moderator | My first 8 weeks it came off quickly, then I only lost 3 pounds over the next 4 weeks. I seem to be back on track, but your body takes time to adjust sometimes too. I'm still averaging a pound and a half a week and for me that's a good, healthy pace. Slower than I'd like, but realistic just the same. And they usually say the faster you lose, the faster you put it right back on.
My "official" weekly weigh-in is tomorrow, but as of this morning I'm down 21.5 pounds total. |

Everyone is doing great. We all have those weeks. And the past three weeks have been rough for me. Let's all keep going!
I put my two piece bathing suit on today and got in the pool. I felt comfortable for the first time in almost two years. CarrieMpls is right, the faster you lose the faster you put it right back on. BTW: I want to thank you all for the suopport, it helps Say it's just a dream...

well done! im at a stand still.... But you said you're down half an inch. That's not a standstill. And I've got a LOT further to go. You're on the last little bit of it, and that always wants to hang on. The last 5-10 pounds are ALWAYS more difficult than the first 5-10. |
