Everyone is bisexual

I'm not stating this as if it were pure fact; rather, I think it's an interesting theory that, to me, could very well be possible.

I mean, honestly, how many people have you known that have either a) flip-flopped sexual orientation, once or more, or b) confessed to having some form of attraction (if not outright experience or relationship) with someone of their not usually preferred gender? For me, it's damn near everyone I've come across in life. Very rarely have I ever met a person who seems genuinely completely heterosexual or completely homosexual. The gays I've been friends with all have had opposite-sex crushes or been in opposite-sex relationships before... most of the hetero's have confessed AT LEAST to having a same-sex crush at some point... and the bisexuals... me included... have been all across the gottdamm Kinsey scale and back. lol

So honestly, if straight and gay are really the predominant orientations (they say bisexuality is that wild-card, in-between one), then what is up with all the flip-flopping and wavering that so many people do in the first place? If anything, totally heterosexual and totally homosexual are either rare, or they don't exist at all. That's what I think, anyways.

What are your thoughts?

Hmmmmm.... I'm gay, but I've dated women.

Of course, I dated them, not because I was interested in them, but because I felt like I needed to be like everyone else and was afraid of being hated or physically hurt. I came out when I was 24... now I can't imagine doing anything sexual with a woman.

I think some women [not all] can flip flop easily. I don't think it's as easy for men and I don't think I know any man who has flip flopped.

Again, hmmmmm.....

I don't think so. Nature doesn't seem to limit itself to one particular category in anything, so I doubt it would here.

I think there are heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals, pansexuals, asexuals, and probably some categories I've forgotten to mention. I also think a gay man can sleep with as many women as he wants--he'll still be gay, and not bisexual. I know a couple straight guys who got a little worked up at certain moments with a man, but I don't think that makes them bi necessarily either. Your sexuality isn't defined by who you have sex with.

I can be very fascinated by a girl's hotness and get into the makeout/titty feel up thing, but that's as far as it goes.

No I don't believe everyone is bisexual.

I also don't subscribe to the thought that one or even a few experiences with whatever sex is not your main preference automatically makes you bi.

it's a great big world filled with a lot of different people who all have different ideas on things. to limit everyone on this planet to just one or two or even three options just isn't realistic. is sexuality a spectrum? i totally think it is.

For those of you who still don't know: I'm playing on both teams.

"Everybody is bisexual" is a very popular thing to say, but I don't think it's true. There are some truly straight and truly gay people out there. That said, way, WAY more people are bi than will ever actually admit to it.

So they say. Personally, the longer I look at a female the odder she looks to me, not stimulating at all no matter how beautiful she's suppose to be, she just starts looking awkward. shrug

Nothing is steady and immoveable. Mother Nature evolves and so do you. Some think they're defined as heterosexuals, homosexuals, bisexuals or whatever for good. It takes sometimes a spark of realization (like love at first sight) to light something in your inner mind; an attraction you couldn't imagine. Any event can reveals latent crushes for a gender you wouldn't think of loving beforehand.
