Do you like moving house?

Do you like to set down your roots or move from place to place?
Do you still live in the same house since you were born? Does moving house unsettle and stress you? Or do you get restless after too long in the one place, and enjoy the chance to start again and get cool new furniture and stuff? giggle

Since I was a baby until I bought my house in 1997 I moved at least once every 3 years or so. I don't think my parents even had a permanent home for the first few years of my life, they were university students!
I've lived 11 years in this place, and it looks like we are staying here for good, and sometimes I think it would be nice with a change of scenery, but it's too expensive to move, unless it's right out of town, or to somewhere not as nice.

yes dead
the house is fine as it is, totally liveable. only improvements would be purely aesthetic

i hate the work that goes into moving! but i like to travel, and i have lived all over the place in my life so far. so i kinda like the idea...i get bored with things fast, so a change is always nice. however now that i have a child, i find that it's better to try and stay at least in the same general area so it's easier on him with school/friends, etc....but i WOULD like to move next year...we'll see??? razz

I would'nt say that it terrifies me,but I sure don't like it,especially when it is forced upon me.

I hate packing shake So annoying. My lease is up at the end of next month and I think I may extend it, only because I don't want to pack.

I'm not scared of change or anything. I actually want to move. I just don't want to pack sigh

Smooches;)

i learned there are worse things than moving a house...
when the store i was manager of closed and we had to pack about 3500 units of stock and transfer and ship...
the shelves that were in the back room(with the rolling ladders)....
the displays and glass shelves from the front(and more rolling ladders)...
the registers....

I've only moved once so far, when I moved from my parents' house to where I'm living now. I eventually would like to move into a bigger place, but who the heck knows when/if that will ever happen.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

I just did it for the 1st time this weekend! woot!
I bought a house... dancing jig

I lived with my family for 41 years (minus college and a brief stint with a fiance I never married hmph!)
It took me FOREVER to pack up my whole life! eyepop I'm still finding stuff in my parents' house... I'll be stopping by to pick up stuff for the next month or so.

I don't anticipate moving... that mortgage is gonna take me till I'm a Senior Citizen! lol

I'm excited to pick put furniture and decorate and stuff... mushy

I am 50/50 on this subject. I didn't care to much when I moved from Nebraska to Oklahoma, but I loved moving into the house I had built 4 yrs ago. So I think it really depends.

But I did get real good at packing super fast. giggle

Nobody in their right mind likes moving. lol

Even when it's a move for the better (the last time I moved, it was into my first home cool ), the physical act of moving is just a royal pain in the ass. disbelief

im tired of it.

ive moved about every 2 to 4 years of my life.

it does help me get rid of things, but im usually good bout throwing stuff out anyway.

but i dont like the prospect of movers damaging my things and thinking money will be sufficient to fix the loss or damage.

I've moved at least 25 to 30 times since I was a kid. In my adult life mostly. As a matter of fact I will be moving to a new house at the end of the month. I actually look forward to it cuz I don't really care for the roomate that I have right now let alone my noisy neighbors. Looking forward to moving out of my crumby apartment and moving in with my friend that has a nice detached house in an upper class neighborhood. woot!
