The Real Housewives Of Atlanta" Star Sheree Whitfied Appeals To Add Alimony To Divorce Settlement

Atlanta, GA (CNS) - "The Real Housewives of Atlanta" star Sheree Whitfield is appealing to upgrade the settlement she received from her former NFL lineman ex-husband Bob Whitfield.

According to the original settlement last year, she received a $775,000 lump sum, over $1.1 million in marital property, a half of Bob's three retirement plans, and $2,142 per month in child support. She was not granted alimony.

Although the payout seems generous enough, it is still not enough for the ex-housewife. She claims that she is justified to receive alimony from Bob because, as a high school graduate, she lacks the skills to earn income.

Sheree was married to the sportsman for three years before their separation in 2003 and divorce in 2007. She was awarded custody of their two children, who were 8 and 11 at the time of their divorce. She appears in the Bravo reality series along four other women.

Her appeal is scheduled to be heard on Monday.

November 28, 2008. Is Real Housewives Of Atlanta star Sheree Whitfield going broke?? Well apparently Sheree has put up her home - a 9,000 square foot mansion on the market for $2.8 million.

Typically that doesn't mean much - but in this real estate market, we have to wonder.

MediaTakeOut.com also learned that Sheree's children have been attending public school for the past year. And that Sheree is not happy with the divorce settlement that she received from her ex-husband Bob. According to court documents, she's appealed the settlement all the way to the Georgia Supreme Court.

Real housewives of Atlanta star Shere' Whitfield is in the news. This time it's about her divorce from NFL lineman Bob Whitfield and it is rather amusing. Sheree' is best known for her role in Housewives of Atlanta as a ex trophy wife who has taken on the dellusional task of becoming a fashion designer. Not likely since she has no experience in fashion or the tappings of becoming a designer. She has no experience with fabrics or with patterns.

Miss Sheree' is not happy with the multi million dollar divorce settlement that the judge ruled on, she however, is claiming she needs more to continue living in the lifestyle she is accustomed to. Due to her lack of education or lets say brain power she is not able to adequately support herself. Housewives of Atlanta was s successful reality show that provided an income however.

Her settlement ecludes $775,000 of lump some payment, a portion of Bob Whitfield's retirement plan, little over $1.1 million in marital property and $2,142 in child support. However Sheree' doesn't not think this enough for her and has filed an appeal with the Georgia Supreme court asking for more money. On a last note Bob Whitfield t hinks the $113.000 yrly that his ex wife gets already should be sufficient, he has request the court fines her $2,500 for wasting everyones time.

What would actually become of her if she actually used some of that money to get an education and leverage herself without laying down with the next athelete to pay her bills.

it's very sad that a grown woman would rather go on public record as saying that she is unintelligent and unskilled than to try to provide for herself.

I'm not saying that she shouldn't get any money from her divorce, she should, but she should also realize that providing for yourself is much easier in the long run then relying on an ex husband who you can't stand and a fashion line you can't design for.

I don't respect ANY woman that preys on rich men, athletes, and celebrities. I see that shit all the time here in Dallas too. When I was a waitress working with and for athletes I saw women degrade themselves in SOOOO many ways that it made me sick to be a woman cuz these dudes assume that all women are willing to go to those lengths. I have a girlfriend who is constantly trynta push her daughter into situations where she'll be around athletes I've lost a lot of respect for her since realizing that's what she's doing.

And then once they create their "product" professionals in the industry were all like "you bitches have no idea what you're doing" and then Sheree and Kim would act like those people were just haters. I mean seriously!

Bravo is rerunning and marathon of the Atlanta season and it was hard not to giggle when Kim was talking about how she's going to record an album and her photographer is all like "yeah...sure... "

When she graduated from high school I kept asking where's she going to school, what is she majoring in, etc. I kept getting these answers about her persuing dancing. So I'd be like well she can go to college and major in dance, why ain't she in school??? So 5 years later that chile is still living at home, ain't in school, ain't got no job, and used to living a quality of life she can't provide for herself. So what now???

IMO she's done the worst kind of disservice to that girl basically teaching her that the only way she'll be able to accomplish anything is by trading on her looks.

It makes my blood boil to see amateurs who think that they know better "just because". I have a cousin who is in art school and majoring in fashion design. Her freshmen year sketches put Sheree to shame.
