Women, amigas, sistas, bellas -- some of y'all can cook It's only fair that I give props where they're due.
At the urging of her friends, my "friend" broke it down in the kitchen for me and for them for New Year's Eve. A wonderful mixed green salad, stuffed Cornish hens, some slammin' sauteed spinach and mushrooms, mashed potatoes with gouda cheese and a flourless chocolate cake with homemade whipped cream and chocolate sauce & raspeberries (the latter had me going  ). She's the kind of cook who makes her own sauces, too. 
It was -- between taste and presentation -- quite simply the best meal ever done for me by a squeeze. Rumor has it she also likes to make ice cream. 
Given my earlier thread decrying the culinary disinterest among the women I've been meeting in recent years, I gotta be fair. . [Edited 1/1/09 11:15am] | |

I would rather do that 10 ta 1 over going out to eat exactly, its very theraputic. Beats being at a restaurant eating food that is just "okay" as oppose to you actually cooking it yourself with friends over, drinking, talking and laughing.I will forever love and miss you...my sweet Prince. | |

I love to cook too.... but I must admit my talent lies in being in and out of the kitchen in a flash... LOL, but I prepare complex complete meals (always on the spicy side  ). | |

I like to cook, but I'm not so good at following recipes, I like to try things and see how it turns out.

Ah yes. This is what I miss about Texas - the sistas that could burn! L.A. don't have it like that. There are a few chicks that can put they foot in it here but not like in H-town!
