Saw the movie. Good movie. But the character definitely not my type. Played well though.

I also should say, most people I know who found him hot, already found Heath hot so I definitely think that contributes to it.

This thread is making me miss him .

To be honest, I don't know.

I never found Heath Ledger attractive. I'm not blind, I can see why people thought he was hot, but he never did anything for me.


But The JOKER?


I've always been madly in love with the character (yes, even Cesar Romero's version ) but it wasn't until TDK that I found the Clown appealing in that way. Something about his absolute lack of boundaries, his absolute lack of self-consciousness is incredibly sexy. For some reason even his childish attention-demanding is kind of cute. Don't ask me why.

Of course, the fact that he's a mass killing sociopath should be fucking frightening. And if he were real, it would be. I'd shit myself if I ever came across a person like this in real life. But he's a pen-and-ink creation brought to life, so my brain manages to shortcut around that aspect.

I'd argue for sociopath, but not true psychosis. There's never been any evidence that he's actually crazy. He's just an incredibly smart man who seems to completely lack empathy or concern for distinctions of right and wrong.

Interestingly enough, it's been suggested that a reason he won't kill Batman isn't just because he's "too much fun" like he said in the movie, but unlike slaughtering the rest of the people of Gotham, he might actually feel that killing Batman is wrong. So assuming that were true, you could say that he actually does have a certain set of morals -just not ones most people would agree on.

Don't get me wrong. It's not that I thought Heath was a butterface au naturel. He was a really good looking guy. Just under normal circumstances, he didn't do it for me.


Of the Brokeback pair, I much preferred Mr. Gyllenhaal.
