All My Children

Has anyone been keeping up with this soap lately? It is getting a touch better since Angie, Jesse, and Frankie are back, but what about the Richie/Annie story line. I am so over that. They need to hurry and kill Annie and move on.

The I found I really didn't like most of the new characters or storylines

I'd watch each soap for maybe one storyline in each

I realized it was my entire afternoon...three hours of my life Mon-Friday I was wasting and I'd never get back.

So I stopped watching and spent my time here instead!

You are so right. AMC stretches a story out for an eternity. It seems like it took forever for the Proteus thing to die. It took forever for Michael Cambius to die. They just take forever. I'm sure you can start watching now, and get caught up on the last story line for the year.

I've watched AMC & OLTL off and on since the mid-70s - Ryan's Hope too. Erica & Delia(Ilene Kristen) were badass back then! Today's storylines can't compare.

The saddest part is that his real father (Melvin Van Peebles) is playing his dad on the show.

Y'all are terrible ....shooot I ain't hatin' on them for staying in the grind...parts aren't really being thrown to black actors in film nowadays unless you're the same 10 dudes in Hollywood, and especially at the Van peebles age. It might be daytime tv, but a contract with a steady paycheck and a few perks is not necessarily a bad thing

oh, I don't blame them. still, soaps are usually what actors do on the way UP.

Well I guess what one sees as going up and down between the two of us differs greatly, because in my view, if you got a contract with benefits and your check, and it can afford you to live your life comfortably in a metropolis like New York or LA - then fuck shallow public perception...you doin' a'ight, Pimpin'

The process of soap opera acting it not easy. It's a bitch and some actors have said it's harder than movie or primetime tv acting because of the scheduling and that they don't get their scripts until the day of shooting. They can get them up to two weeks early, but there are constant changes made in the interim

I'm starting to watch all my children again. I'm not as as intense fan as i was when in my 20's...


But i love the story lines with all my favorite charachters children now.


mario is a great addition, and i don't mind his dad in a cameo or two, but i would b mortified.

I know what you mean.At first,I kinda liked her.I thought she was sweet and innocent but it soon became clear that she's nothing but a bitch It got to the point where,I was actually thrilled to see her brother Richie intimidate,threaten and blackmail her,lol.Those scenes were funny.I found myself not caring about her at all.
