Landmark Education, right? A friend roped me into going to one of their meetings. I was weirded out by the whole experience. Nice folks, but very pushy(like Amway people). Some dude called a "life coach" tried getting me to plop down serious cash for a weekend seminar. I saw the schedule, and I'm like, are you f-cking serious? From morning to night, they hammer you with their philosophy, and you can't leave either. Sounds like a damn cult to me. I'm not exactly Mr. Outgoing or a lover of people, so telling strangers my personal business ain't my thang. I walked away and never looked back.

I couldn't see any signs of a cult. They are pushy though. Those things don't bother me, they're a business like anything else. So far it's good. I'm getting out what I'm putting in.

Oh and you can leave when you want. One woman left the second morning and got a full refund.

Avoid! It is a cult. Fuckers got their clutches into my sister a few years back and it took a lot for her to get away from them. Bastards kept phoning her saying 'do the next course it'll resolve all these issues' My Dad eventually threatened to go to the press and to take legal action.

Avoid like the plague

The bit about phoning loved ones late at night was exactly what happened with my sis.

The journalist also says that it's not a cult and that it was a positive experience.

I think what I've learned so far is that people get put off by the hard sell and that most people who complain about it have never done it. However I'm not taking anything away from your experience with your sister.

Yes I know that there is a debate but they are preying on peoples vunerabilty. They raked up things in my sisters past that were long since forgotten and forgiven and it fucked her up for a long time. Thankfully she's fine now.
