Do You Drink A Lot of Water?

I just started drinking water about a week ago, after totally giving up Pepsi for good. Pepsi is not good for you anyway; it's really just sugary, empty calories. Diabetes runs in my family (on my dad's side) and at 45 years of age, I don't want to wind up getting it. Diabetes is a nasty disease, and I have seen it do bad things to very good people. sad

The water tastes good and is good for me, and I enjoy drinking it. The only thing I dislike about it is that it does a number of my kidneys (lots of bathroom trips). lol But people have told me that after awhile, my body will get used to it, and I won't need to make as many trips (praying for that day to arrive). lol

So far, I've drank about 3.0 liters of water. I think I'm done for today. lol How much water do you normally drink? And are those flavored waters that I see advertised any good? I've thought about trying those, when I get sick of just the plain old water.
RIP, mom. I will forever miss and love you.

Tons. Offset, though, by the copious quantities of vodka I consume.

Well, they say that variety is the spice of life. biggrin Drinking plain water all the time gets boring after awhile, I would imagine.

Other than the glass of milk that I have with my breakfast every morning, all I drink is water. I don't drink any juice or soda or coffee. lol

That's good. smile I have a problem with regular milk, it bothers my stomach. But now I see they have something on the market called Lactaid, which is supposed to be good for people with lactose intolerance. Gotta try it.

Unless you consume about 3,000 calories, you don't need to drink 3 litres of water....but if you don't mind, by all means keep on drinking.

Anxiety

i try to drink at least 16oz of water daily, if not at least twice that.

but i drink all kinds of stuff throughout the day, especially in summer - juice, soda, shakes, coffee drinks.

hopefully the water offsets that stuff just a little. shrug

Not a lot, normally between 48 and 64oz a day. I have found that drink water instead of sugary drink keeps my weight steady regardless of what I'm eating. I don't notice any added benefits to drinking more that 64oz, at the same time, I get muscle cramps, headaches and a host of other issues if I drink less than 48oz.

I know what you mean, sometimes you have to force yourself to drink it. Once it becomes a habit, I'm sure it becomes a lot easier.
