so i got my eyebrow pierced yesterday
and, surprisingly enough, it didn't hurt a thing!



Any things that you thought would hurt
but didn't?

I had a tooth taken out a few weeks back and that wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be.

The injections weren't pleasent though!

1) When I was younger (22 years of age I think) I pierced my own nose. But it actually hurt. Just not as much as I thought it would.


2) I recently has a deep cleaning on my teeth. It didn't hurt as much as I thought, and the night after the cleaning, no pain.


3) The first time I gave blood, I was surprised it didn't hurt.


I can't think of anything else actually. Most of the time, things hurt MORE than I expect. Like when I sprang my ankle. That shit Huuuuurrrrrt.

Thank god for injections.

When the pins to set my broken humerus were taken out, I was expecting pain to some degree but the removal actually didn't hurt a bit, just felt strange.

well, my tattoo definitely didn't hurt as much as i thought it would
it was more annoying than anything, the filling in of it...

which is why i'm dying to get another one

But I'm working on that fear...I NEED to donate blood...I mean I work there for cripe's sake!

How do you conquer a fear like that? I literally faint when it happens at the dr's office.

They numb one side and do it.

Then the other side on your second visit.

It's far more pleasant the actual regular cleaning cause you're numbed, and it is a bit quicker too. The only thing that sucks is that you can't talk or move half your face for the next 4 hours after you leave the dental office

mothers are saintly. i passed a kidney stone, which is said to be a similar level of pain -- never again. didn't help that it passed after a catheter was inserted into my penis.
