Check again. lol I edited it for camp. it's still there.
But, a bare edit post is hilarious.

Nope, I got my tools, too, lady. wink I've had my house for about 3 years, and I've yet to call anything beyond a plumber. And, that one time was for something that turned out to have been a badly installed disposal.

Girl, I have a dishwasher but a cycle is over an hour so plates, glasses, silverware for 80 people was gonna pile up. Nah, we had to wash dishes right away and I know I busted suds for about 2-3 hours straight. shake Everyone was great and pitched in during the serving which we did like a conveyor belt through the kitchen. I now understand why TV design shows say you should have 2-3 ways in and out of a kitchen to maximize flow. But for the actual food prep I was on my own, so that took awhile.

I don't use Martha's recipes but her decorating tips for an event are priceless.

...and quiet as it's kept, I still love me some Martha lol In the end what I had to do for myself was not beat myself over the head trying to chop cups of onions and other time consuming things to get my food groove on, because I used to be OBSESSED. Everything had to be picked chopped and made from my own hand. But shoot, these days? Please... you want some balsamic onion marmalade? Oh you'll get it alright, but I'll be damned if I didn't pull out a frozen package of chopped onions to boil down and help me along giggle Whoo lawd, and the "Dinner Party Conveyor Belt"???? That's EXACTLY what I'm talking about right there, that's the BIZ'NESS! It's fun to be able to put on a meal and please so many people, but without friends to pitch in here and there, I can't even imagine what it's like to wind down a dinner party let alone with 80 people eyepop

.. food processor .. gotta get a food processor to cut stuff up.. all the onions, bell peppers, celery, carrots we would do up during the holidays in my family, was very time consuming with choppin n cuttin .. food processor did all the cuttin' for us lol hop n skip n it was cut up.. we'd start cookin' 2 days in advance for Thanksgiving lol (starting with desserts).. and SCNDLS, u're right about that dishwasher thing.. we did the same.. cooking for 30 in my family and we too had a dishwasher, but we still had to wash by hand..cause it was much .. and also when you have those restaurant size pots, a dishwasher isnt enough lol .. dang u had 80, that's rough lol

You're absolutely right about chopping all that stuff up. My aunt chops and dices all her veggies and keeps it in a ziploc back and uses it as needed. I learned this trick when she made the dressing. thumbs up!

So , several days into the LA invasion I was persecuted for allowing the men to build the tent in the backyard for the LA invasion when I COULD HAVE DONE IT MYSELF.

Ok, I am a contractors daughter but I'd also rather cook and make pleasant. I also knew how to respect their territory. (eek) I remember one conflict between said male and I about location of tent... One male said we are doing what we know is right and if at the end you disagree we will move it. (note: said males were right! shrug) I fed them beers and eek One male threatened me if I played Seal one more time it wasn't the only thing out the 2nd story. So I decided to depart with veryyyyy heavy furniture that said male thought id do well in the tent. They drag it to the curb... I serve dinner at the remaining table in the backyard whilst I have this epiphany that eek the men were right! So, I announce it as said male lifts his chicken to his mouth. Without a word he drops it to his plate and raises with the other male in question, my father, and restores said furniture to my backyard.

lol

Anywho, dinner was good and I was forgiven and the fantastic males in question along with my parents and friends had a fantastic night christening the tent
and playing Vegas games.
