Dreams of near-death experiences

This is the 2nd dream I've had in 3 days where I get in a situation, am close to death and end up getting rescued at the last minute.

In the first one I had, I was underwater in what looks like it could have been NYC, only underwater. At one point, I realize that I should get to the surface to breath, but I'm too far down. Turns out that I can breathe underwater, but I end up having a panic attack and pass out as I'm taking deep breaths to calm down. I then get rescued by a couple of people whose faces I couldn't make out, so they could have been strangers or people I knew.
That was from Saturday morning.

This morning, I woke up from a dream where I somehow end up buried under a snowbank. I think I might have been with another person, but I can't say for sure. Again, I'm close to death, get found and I end up making it out alive. I wake up in the hospital and my name's in the paper, saying how I was found. I can almost remember before passing out that I wasn't afraid of death. Deep down, I knew I was going to be saved.

These types of these typically come in threes, but before I get to the third dream, I thought I should ask if I should really pay attention to these. Last night, it was a while before I fell asleep because I kept thinking if something might go wrong with my being able to graduate... I'm not particularly stressed out over making it through the semester, but deep down, it appears that I'm terrified.

Any thoughts?
And for the record, I haven't dreamt about near-death experiences before recently, so that's why I'm a little nervous about what's going on in my head.
had 2 run away... pride was 2 strong. It started raining, baby, the birds were gone

I once actually listenned to the dialogue on Jacob's Ladder where the therapist is talking to the protagonist about death, and how it is viewed. It's either viewed as a beuatiful merciful thing, or something sinister and scary depending on your point of view. Very jedi.

I have sleep apnea so I stop breathing each and every night and each time, I dream that I have died. I think that is what wakes me up fortunately.

Seems like you on the outside you are showing that you are not worried but your sub-conscience is trying to tell you something.

Maybe you are feeling the pressure and also it is interesting to note that you are rescued. Perhaps you wish to have this load taken off of you and also your mind is acknowledging that it feels overwhelmed.

Also before you go to sleep ask a question out loud like "am I under pressure and from what" and hopefully your dreams will answer you.

Both cases are to do with smothering/drowning. Not fire or shooting. Could also be something emotional. Love life etc.

its a series of dreams of which, i have written down.

the first one, i am followed by a blonde girl into a mysterious building, she takes me to the top and shoots me, but then she turns into me..and i died on grey pavement.

the second one, i am hiding in a jungle and a man, muscular, sweaty is trying to kill me..somewhat sexually lol..he then stabs me..

the third one, a robot women is following, she smothers me..

Sometimes dreaming of death is not what it literally looks like.

All the figures which you are dreaming about are somewhat comic book. The blonde, the muscular man, and the robot. What you are dreaming about is your life at the moment. Maybe there are changes going on or decision you have to make. The mysterious building is representing your conscious mind and the difficult decisions you are having to make. They seem huge. The woman is representing that part which wants you to make up your mind. In that she turns into you is that the decision you will make will change your life.

Hiding in jungle - escape mode. The decision that you have to make is seeking you out. Being a large man means the life changing decision is troubling you and the robot means that at this moment in your life you are just going through the motions.

I hope it helps. Death in this instance means a change in life and a decision that you have to make. Maybe you are wondering what decision that could be but your sub-conscience is saying that changes have to be made.

You know how people tend to have those dreams where they fall from a great height only to wake up right before impact?

I typically keep right on dreaming.

I had a dream, a few months ago that I was a soldier in WWII who was burned alive. My wounds kept me from feeling it, though, mercifully.

I have very, very bizarre dreams. Always have. And, I typically remember them. omfg

I was just about to ask, who dies in their dreams? I've never heard of that. Anytime I've had a dream where I was about to die, I wake up before it ever happens. And thank God, because I've dreamed some fairly brutal stuff.

Do you ever find yourself with any sort of physical effect of it? Like shortness of breath? Realized pain?

The worst thing ever to me, as it relates to sleep is when I'm sleep and I know it and can't wake up. That is the closest thing to death I could ever imagine.

I can't recall, in that soldier dream, if I was aware of being in a dream state. It seemed pretty real.
