SUZANNE PLESHETTE IS DEAD!

Suzanne Pleshette, the beautiful, husky-voiced film and theater star best known for her role as Bob Newhart's sardonic wife on television's long-running "The Bob Newhart Show," has died, said her attorney Robert Finkelstein. She was 70.

Pleshette, who underwent chemotherapy for lung cancer in 2006, died of respiratory failure Saturday evening at her Los Angeles home, said Finkelstein, who is also a family friend.

She was great. sad Her husband, Tom Poston, died last year and I knew they'd both been ill. So, I figured she wouldn't be long in following him. I really don't know of any one in recent years who has presented the same no-nonsense, comical and beautiful package on TV. But I don't really watch it anymore, so I wouldn't.

She'll be missed.

Sad... Ironically just this weekend from out of nowhere I was looking up press on her on the internet. For some reason I was just suddlenly interested in all things Pleshette and I was trying to find all her clips on Youtube neutral

Oh well...hopeful she is resting at peace now. I wasn't aware she had cancer rose

I liked her role in the movie "The Birds." I wasn't a fan of the Newhart shows, but I was always drawn to her voice and how she carried herself, RIP.
