Post a pic of....

A pet that really was/is special to you.

I've had lots of pets but my dog Maya was like no other. She was my shadow and the sweetest (but also bratty-est) ever...kinda like me, I guess.

She died last March at the old age of 11 and I still really, really miss her. It's my first xmas without her. sad

mushy Maya is beautiful. That's a cute pic of you two.

This is my special pet, Missy.

She passed away in 2003. She had been in and out of the animal hospital for 6 months. They think she had cancer but it's hard to detect it in cats. They wanted to check her heart but she dropped down to 5 pounds and they didn't think she would be able to take anesthesia. I had to shove pills down her throat everyday and I had to give her an IV daily. When she lost the ability to jump up on furniture, I knew it was time to put her down. I made the appointment to put her to sleep but she died the night before. I was so sad but also kind of relieved.

I had dreams about her for years after she passed. I've just finally stopped having them. When I first moved to my house in 2004, a neighborhood cat would come to my door that looked just like her. It was so freaky. The cat I have now would get so excited to see her and look at me as if to say "why aren't you letting her in?". I miss her sleeping on the pillow next to me. And for years, the cat I have now wouldn't sleep on that pillow. When Missy was alive, Thomasina was not allowed to go anywhere near that pillow, not unless she wanted to be knocked upside her head by Missy.

I don't know what I'm gonna do when Thomasina goes.....cry

Most all my animals have incredible storys - I'll pic Echo to share

Echo was born in the twilight of April 1st - I was watching the mountianside each morning under that full moon for the baby to come. When I looked out that morning there he was still wet and not yet standing ... blah blah so on and so on - ANYWAY ... later that day I help my freind through turning off the machines that were keeping her 7 month old son alive and held her as she held him and he left us ...

between the mountiantop and the releasing of andrew's spirit - we named him Echo

Yeah. For some reason, I can't even look at the dog. My eyes are stuck on you, for some reason. This is a pretty picture. *Clears Throat*

Apparently, a lot of them are vicious. Regardless, they require a shitload of brushing and they're stubborn as mules.

Awwww... sad

I had to put Maya down. She had cushings disease and had also developed a tumor deep in her stomach. She was simply dying very quickly in front of us. Luckily my best friend was her vet so we both cried and held her while it was being done. So, so sad.

They say that favorite pets have the same character as their bosses. This must say something about our characters Ace. confused

I dunno 'bout that. We didn't know this about the breed and I think we just lucked-out.

I don't have a picture scanned but my dog was Cocoa. She's the only real pet that I actually bonded with. She was soooo sweet and I loved her. She died when I was 13 or so. My dad told me she ran away. Later, as an adult, he told me that he found her dead.
