Giant pumpkin wins prize

eek

Giant pumpkin wins prize

A 640lb pumpkin has won a competition in Lancashire.

Gerrard Wright, of Tarleton, won the 2007 All England trophy with his giant specimen, which was 100lbs heavier than last year's winner.

The Mere Brow Giant Pumpkin Competition has been running for 13 years.

According to the BBC Mr Wright said: "There's a lot of local rivalry. You don't tell anyone you've got a big one."

The Mere Brow record is held by a 912lb pumpkin grown by eight-year-old Liam Cupit and James O'Hanlon, 10, in 2004.

They don't understand the Queens English anywhere north of Watford mate.

Have you never watched Coronaton Street? Its all pretend trannies saying things like "Ecky thump. Our Rosie's a right trollup". Talking of which she's a bit of alright so long as she keeps her mouth shut. Rosie webster i mean. She's 16, so it's legal you know.
