We have a fairly strict dress code at work and they "prefer" us to wear suits. rolleyes

I get away with quite a lot more than I should, though. giggle

I guess it's harder to draw the line for the ladies. The definition of "suit and a tie" is very narrow, but what is the exact corresponding ladieswear? I remember that in Japan, the ladies had to wear something with a "dress collar" (or something like that), and there were a few other specific guidelines, but other than that it was open for interpretation (and thereby led to conflict every now and then...).

Our dress code is something like 17 pages long and includes picture examples. lol

Basically, they prefer we wear suits; dress pants or skirts and dress shoes are always required; for tops, button-down shirts or "dressy sweaters" are acceptable. There's a looooong list of what is not acceptable. I kind of read between the lines and use my own judgement. In the summer I wear a lot of dresses. I never look sloppy or unprofessional, but I rarely look "corporate" either.
I think I often get away with it cause I generally look "cute" and put together. lol

Do you change your clothes when you get home from work?

I'm finding lately that I change practically as soon as I walk in the door. lol

If I'm going out or have plans, I may or may not change, depending on what I'm wearing and where I'm going.

But if I know I'm just going to be hanging around the house I'm immediately into PJs or something.

Do you do this?

YES!

I feel like I'm shedding the workday.

YES! I'm the same way lol If somebody catches me with my "round the house" hair I get a serious WTF reaction

Girl, I don't even wear the bun to the laundry room, which is just 2 doors down!! falloff Unless it's a cute bun, which it rarely is. Most often it's pretty jacked lol
