Thousands of lawyers teargassed and clubbed I shouldn't make fun of this, but I can always look at it as practice for being a scab writer for David Letterman or Jon Stewart.
Thousands face down Pakistani police
By MUNIR AHMAD, Associated Press Writer 40 minutes ago ISLAMABAD, Pakistan - Police fired tear gas and clubbed thousands of lawyers protesting President Gen. Pervez Musharraf's decision to impose emergency rule, as Western allies threatened to review aid to the troubled Muslim nation. Opposition groups put the number of arrests at 3,500, although the government reported half that. Isn't it nice that the ambulances were chasing the lawyers for a change? When pressed for an explanation, General Musharraf said, "Who's left to sue me? BWHAHAHAHAH!" Dick Cheney commented, "I knew there was something about that man I liked. Bomb him anyway. WAAAAAK WAAAAAK WAAAAAK!" | |

there are good lawyers... I know a very prominent one who helps the disfortunate, the minorities, and actually works to create jobs by getting involved in politics and attracting corporations to Texas.
