Greetings from the mountains

We're in Angel Fire, New Mexico. The snow is fantastic and the crowds haven't arrived yet. Couldn't be better!

I hope everyone has had a very merry Christmas (or insert applicable holiday here!). And, I hope you all have a safe, Happy New Year and that 2008 is the best year of your lives (so far!)!

See y'all next year!

Dang, I've gotta lay off the exclamation points. Someone once said exclamation points are like laughing at your own jokes.

Too true!

Don't worry. I am/was a really good skier, but now I only ski blues. No black diamonds - too much work! I love big, wide podery blue runs and I stay the HELL away from trees.

Check this out - we bought season ski passes and on the first day, my son loses his. This is Christmas Eve, and the homeowners' office is probably going to be closed until 12/26. I am so PO'ed. Those passes weren't cheap. I figured they'd give him a replacement, but not for a couple days.

Then my daughter says, "I think I saw a pass laying in the snow on Hallelujah." So we get on the lift and retrace my son's last ski run, and believe it or not - I find his pass laying in the snow.

I told my son that for the rest of the vacation, he is his sister's servant.

Hhahaaa!!! @ sister's servant. I bet you the pass was white too. heehee!

I've only tried skiing once. I was 8 years old and it was on some Walgreen's cheap wooden skiis. What I did learn to do a couple of years was SNOWBOARD. I love it. I just hope I can go up to Tahoe soon.
