He was filming"TOP GUN" on the base I was stationed at I would accidently walk through them filming it became a joke.
He was in uniform and tried to get me to salute him I didn't fall for it. And Proceeded to tell him his uniform was unsatisfactory. I didn't recognize him. He remembered my face and asked why I was yelling at MIMI Rodgers. I looked at him then realized we had meet before I didn't know he was an actor. He's not arrogant like some stars believing their own hype.

... I used to write for a Cleveland-area newspaper. Sports staffer that had the opportunity to cover high school, collegiate and professional sports while still in college. That's why you see a lot of sports figures. I helped out on the coverage of the Cleveland Grand Prix race from 1993-95, so got a chance to meet/interview some drivers and their owners. Walter Payton, former Chicago Bear great, who died in 2000, was part owner of a race team. Just happened to be at the right place at the right time, I guess. Also interviewed Jerry Falwell after Edinboro U played Liberty U in Lynchburg, Virginia. Interesting man to say the least. I met Falwell in September 1990.

Anyway, I met The Fonz at Water Tower Place in Chicago when I was 10. He shook my hand but wouldn't give an autograph because he said eveyone would be hounding him then...He was a very cool guy. He let my sister kiss him on the cheek.

I also met Jenny Craig at a store I once worked at, and the only reason I knew it was her was becasue some lady came up and hugged her and said she changed her life.

I am not big on meeting famous people...I mean big deal...so they are a movie star or sports player. HOWEVER, if I met Michael Jordan, Prince, Jimmy Page, or Paul McCartney I would shit twice and die.

I get to hang out with myself all day!

I'm very envied.
