knitting or crochet? does anyone know which one is easier?
i just taught myself to crochet, that was pretty easy.... wondering if i should stick with this or learn to knit now - or if knowing both would just confuse what i recently learned .... make sense? One of the best days of my life... http://prince.org/msg/100/291111

Ex-Moderator | I think they are both quite easy to learn to do, but are both somewhat difficult to master, to really do well.
Or maybe that's just me. I pick up things quite quickly, but rarely have the patience for the practice required to really excel at something. |

Exactly, working 10 hrs a day and now I started going to the gym after work which takes a good 1 1/2, coming home to help my daughter with homework and still having to do house work is overwhelming! Not much time left for anything else. And yes we can't cut into orgtime Rhythm floods my heart♥The melody it feeds my soul

I learned to crochet when I was a child. I learned to knit a year or so ago. Knitting may be a bit more difficult, just cause you have to be a bit more dextrous with the needles than the hook, but eh. they're both about the same. |

My Mom would make a ton of those just as you see in the picture, then knit them together to make a table cloth. She would also make a beautiful cover for the bed, over a white comforter or something, she would lay one down over it, it was a very beautiful look. I miss my Mom.

Mach said: nakedpianoplayer said: it is very beautiful It means a lot to me comming from my Dad and Made by his Mom That is a beautiful doily. The roses are Irish lace. She made them first and then made the white medallions around them and sewed them together. Very intricate work. My Grandma used to crochet lace too. I've made a couple pieces but it bothers my eyes to do the fine work so I keep my crocheting and knitting on the larger side. Am currently on a baby afghan kick.
