Your favorite resturant in Mpls?

Mine has always been Figlio's..I remember when I asked about a serving job there..the hiring manager was a sweet, cute, gay guy and had that look in his eye like "omg I know this bitch didn't just roll up in here thinking she could get a lucritive serving postion in MY house!!!" and proceded to tell me of how exclusive their hiring procedure was every April...lol...but that is ok...I still LOVE that place!!!LOL! razz

I ate at Figlio last weekend. smile It's OK, but not really a favorite of mine.

I'm not sure I have ONE favorite restaurant. It depends on my mood, what kinda food I want, etc.

I was dancing on their rooftop Friday night. smile The food's quite yummy too, but we didn't eat there that night. There's not much better than dancing to good house music underneath the stars on a gorgeous summer night in Mpls.

OK, some of the places I frequent:

Chatterbox Pub - when I feel like getting out of uptown and eating fancy bar food with a yummy beer.

Herkimer - Fave local spot for beer brewed on site and has one of my fave salads in the city. I rarely go other than for a happy hour now and again, but I'm happy every time I do.

Hell's Kitchen - I LOVE salvation sundays for brunch with the old-timey gospel playing and the servers in their pajamas. Food is YUMMY too.

GiGi's - this is my neighborhood place. I don't eat there nearly enough, though. lol

The Independent - Great happy hour, their grilled pear salad has eclipsed Herkimer's house salad as my favorite in the city.

The Lotus - Utterly unpretentious, the decor is downright cheesy and never, ever busy but it's still my fave vietnamese food here. Bonus points for always playing music that makes me happy, music you wouldn't expect in a place like that, like old soul, Sam Cooke, Otis Redding, etc.

Seward Cafe - Organic veggie hippy place with amazingly yummy breakfasts.

I used to love Chang Mai Thai but it's been a while since I've been there. They got too popular and it's too long a wait for a table. lol

Luce is my fave pizza and I forget I LOOOOOVE Azia!! It's just pricey so I never seem to eat there. lol

Little T's is good too, and yes, especially at 3am. lol

And you can color with crayons on the tablecloths (paper I mean) at Little T's. nod
