Fucking Thieves No, this isn't a thread about Russians, bkw. 
Dad picks me up to drop me off at the laundry this afternoon. On the way he informs me people broke into the laundromat last night, of course looking for money. Thankfully, they only got $10. Dad doesn't keep the money there for that specific reason. Not that in all the years of our entreprenuership we've had a problem with theft, and have ever had anyone break in. They used a back door, leading into the utility room. Dad said he showed up this morning, knowing something was odd, but couldn't quite tell, until he went into the office. He then couldn't figure out how they got in. The two doors to the laundry were still in tact, and locked. He checked that door, and they had busted through. It's a wooden door, and then they came through the door into the office. Got into our box we keep the money in. As I said, we keep no money there, except change from nickles and dimes, they stole all of those. They cracked open the bottom part of it, where we keep the paperwork, and found nothing of interest. They searched the fridge, the desk drawers, found nothing. The only other thing missing is a set of keys, which dad and I are still not sure what belonged to. All the dryer keys, washer keys, coke machine keys, and maintenance keys are still there. I suppose that set wasn't so important. Why they took them, I don't know. What's strange is, in the office sits a relatively new computer that's fully operational...And a whole shit load of cds. There's a cd player in the front, and some other "pricey" things. They weren't interested in any of that. They tried to hijack our coke machine however, to get the change. Little did they know however, it's out of order, has been for two years, and the only purpose it serves is something to hold up the TV  Which was left as well.
Anyhow, one of the Jamestown police officers came by, and lifted for prints. They obviously tried to enter through the bathroom window first, as there were handprints. Unfortunately, it seems they were wearing gloves at the time. The prints on the safe were lifted as well, and hopefully they get something from that. They didn't mess with the large window, I suppose because it's exposed to the street, nor the side window, for the same purpose. Nor the two entrances. I still find it odd they didn't take anything else. It wasn't just our laundromat that was hit last night either. KOA campgrounds at the dock we do laundry for was also broke into at the main office. The safe with all the money in it was stolen, and so were the keys to the coke machine there. They took all the money from that. Then, apparently, these people who had broke in at KOA went on over to Russell Springs, and tried to use the set of keys on another coke machine. However, it didn't work. S o they cracked it open and took everything. Any connection to the laundromat thieves? Perhaps. We'll not know for awhile, or may never know. Anyways, this plain out pisses me off! I mean, I'm thankful they didn't take anything else, or fuck anything else up, but god damn! People are fucking lame! Sorry ass idiots! Oh, and as we speak, there's a cop right about 2 places down from me, at the 127 auto sales - The guy who owns that also owns the house I live in.  Maybe Tracy Irvin just found a car she wanted, or maybe there was another theft.

My friend purchased a laundromat a year ago and just recently has been having trouble with theives in the temp..in the laundromat.Sucks. His wife wonders how he is supposed to make business success off of quarters  "Climb in my fur." | |

Sounds like the homeless whino's or crack addicts.They only want money.I left my car unlocked over night and the only thing they took was my speakerbox and they took that out nicely(so go figure).But theives are thieves(CEO or drug addicts)and should be punished.I hope they catch them. | |

Thieves do indeed 'suck ass'.
I can still remember when my house was broken into about 5 years ago. They made off with my TV, Video, HiFi & a load of my CDs. I'd never been so pissed off & angry in my life. Afterwards I used to keep a baseball bat handy, and actually wished they'd come back... so I could beat the crap outta them! (& I'm normally quite non-violent) Anyway, luckily I got my stuff back (a neighbor had called the cops) and surprise surprise, the thieves were known druggies. Though it took ages to get all that silver fingerprint stuff off my CDs. | |
