Great F@$king start to the weekend!!! So, just got home from the hospital cause I was driving home from work and some 16yr old kid who hasn't even had his licence for a month pulled into traffic after being parked on the side of the road and hit me while I was traveling 60km/hr. The front passenger side of my car is toast and has been towed away to await its destiny, the cops have charged him with imprudent driving causing bodily harm and Im in pain and without a vehicle until I can get a rental, which thank God is covered since Im at no fault, but the pain and stiffness sucks and the doctor at the hospital has recommended time off work  | |

Advil liquid gels are so freaking amazing, that and a couple or few beers 
My Fil heard what happened and came over with a care package and was nursing me all night and tomorrow I go to the doctor to set up some physio and good drugs then off to see if I can get a decent rental car. The kid was charged by the police and his insurance is covering everything, so no deductable, rental car and any perscriptions or medical treatment I need as a result, and he'll loose his licence for 6 months minimum. He was very apologetic and cars can be replaced, its the pain and inconvenience that sux right now Thanks everyone, the Org is always a great place to vent when shit happens!  Pics were taken so if I can get my hands on them I'll post them, damage isnt crazy enough that the car will get written off, only about 3-4000, but I wont get my baby back for a couple weeks[Edited 9/9/06 0:33am] | |

Holy Cow. Take care of yourself. I hate to say that the pain usually comes 2 days later. Take lots of drugs. Legal ones.

What kind of morons have passed the law that allows 16-year-old kids to get a driver's licence?!? That's like the biggest bullshit ever. No way in hell should 16 year olds be allowed to drive a car...  It is not known why FuNkeNsteiN capitalizes his name as he does, though some speculate sunlight deficiency caused by the most pimpified white guy afro in Nordic history.

[Edited 9/9/06 3:48am] I was actually suprised I didnt knock him on his ass but I seemed to kick into dispatcher mode and I was getting the info and calling it in to dispatch to get a car there and then I was on the phone with insurance and getting the tow truck, poor kid was completely dazed by how fast everything happened. When the officers got to the scene they didnt have much to do but charge him and direct the traffic and get signatures on the statements, I had most of the information all sitting ready for them to put on the documents and in the computer, they kepy asking me if I was ok and wanted me to sit down but I had adreniline through the roof | |
