Woman Ate 320 Heroin Condoms Aussie faces charges after heroin-filled contraceptives found at airport
SYDNEY - A woman who police alleged swallowed 320 condoms full of heroin appeared in an Australian court on drugs charges on Sunday. The 25-year-old Australian woman was stopped by Customs officials after she got off a flight from Singapore on June 18 on suspicion that she was concealing drugs internally, an Australian Federal Police spokeswoman said. She was handed over to police and then taken to hospital, where she was kept until all the drug-filled condoms had passed out of her system. The woman made a bail appearance in court on Sunday and remained in custody, the spokeswoman said. The charge of importing a commercial quantity of banned drugs could carry a maximum sentence of life in prison.  dayumm!!! | |

On certain flight routes (that are known for trafficking) they random drug check...it usually starts with authorities asking you simple questions to feel you out. 10 years ago I was coming from Amsterdam after visiting my husband on a work assignment, and I was late boarding because I had to "tinkle" . They ended up paging me for my flight, but just as an extra seurity measure I had go through some random questioning, they asked if they could search my bags. They asked if I bought anything or was transporting any purchased goods from the Netherlands, which I was: Strawberry flavoured "body" cream (cough cough) and a few other "unmentionables"...it ended up being one of the most hilarious bag searches EVER, and we were all collectively "surpressing" our laughter as they went through it. However, I could totally see how if a person is transporting something ILLEGAL (???)...oh puh-leez, unless you're the girl from the movie "Maria Full of Grace", if they just randomly spot check you, you're gonna crack after the first 5 questions. They will pick up on it and they will nail you. | |
