HAIRSPRAY: the musical

so, last night i indulged and paid 100 bucks to sit 9th row center for my first broadway musical (on broadway - i've seen tours), and we went and saw HAIRSPRAY...

has anyone else seen this? IT'S FUCKING HILARIOUS!

Not that I am a big fan of the musicals, i hate most of them, but this show had it all!

I saw it when it toured through Mpls. Amazing!!
I'm a big fan of the movie first and foremost, but they made a nice little musical out of it.

You know, I think it was Bruce Vilanch cause Harvey Fierstein was still playing him on Broadway at the time. I'm trying to remember... It was about a year and a half ago now...

I remember finding him alright, but I was also amazed at the girl who played Tracy. The music was really great too. Not that I'd run out to pick up a cast recording, but fun and fitting.
