how many of u are willing to admit?

That u are on depression medicine.

What are the effects of it?

Do u feel a high feeling or is it just a calming thing?

Did u notice the effects right away?

Do u readily admit it to people or is it something u keep to yourself?

I was on Prozac for a while.

But then Tom Cruise came to my house and hit me over the head with a sackfull of vitamins and that was that.

I sometimes think about going on again.

I have used anti depressents but not for quite a while now

it's not a high you tend to experience it's a numbness

no real bad downs but no ups either really should just be a short term soloution followed by sorting out whats the matter making you feel the way you do.

i would describe the effect as leveling

ive been on a combo of effexor and wellbutrin.....
ive had a rough time....
now im just takin wellbutrin....
Say it's just a dream...
U open up ur eyes and come 2 realize
u simply imagined this
So u lean over and give her a kiss
Here on earth, here on earth,
with u it's not so bad
Here on earth, here on earth
eye don't feel so sad
Stay right here

I was taking anti depressants for a while.

They didn't give me any big "high", just like p0p said, a leveling.
But I didn't feel numb....

They were a great help while I got back on my feet, combined with therapy.

I would take them again if needed.

I've never been prescribed anti-depressants. I was prescribed Ritalin as a child, and it just made me tired and more depressed. I got taken off it abruptly after 3 months. I thought about something for anxiety or mood stabilizers recently, but wasn't to sure about it, so I never followed through.

I've abused Zoloft and Xanax in the past. I would take 1 or 2 and snort one. That really messed me up. disbelief

Never taken them. I hope I never have to, but this life can take some unpredictable turns.

If I wasnt prescribed any from the ages of 14-17 I don't think I'll ever need them.

I've been on Paxil for about two years....it doesn't give me any sort of a high, it just calms me down and helps me to feel more comfortable, especially in social situations. No negative side effects except the times when I miss a couple days - then it's hell! Paxil withdrawls are HORRIBLE!!!!

falloff

Actually, that's the main reason I started taking it...in my line of work, I need to be very clear and comfortable when I communicate, etc. I give presentations, work with vendors, use other people as resources, etc - I couldn't really do that before I was on Paxil - it has worked wonders for me. nod

In my opinion, smile, the pharmecutual industry is the largest mafioso movement in history, repressors of cures and alternative medcines, exploiters of the weak, paranoid and hopeless, blackly fascist in intent, blindly 'levelling us all out' as a zombie nation grunts in acceptence. Jesus fucking wept.

i was on Prozac for about 4 months, i think.

then i didn't need them anymore, because i got super-powers when i was bitten by a giant moth. so i went into fighting crime on a full-time basis and was happy.

A viscious cycle. Fuck it. Just take the pain, it can be quite enjoyable if you let go of your reservations.
